DH is such a BUTT!
MoonMama wrote: You all know I have been trying since yesterday to get him to put together our new shelving units and help rearrange ours and Braedin's bedrooms. And he is once again sitting if front of the TV playing video games (how old is this man again ), anyway he actually has the guts to tell me the living room is cluttered and a big mess (the boxes the shelf's are in). No kidding you BUTT and they are going to stay in the living room till you get off your butt and help put them together and put where they go. Sometimes that man really annoys me!
mom2my2cuties replied: I'd hide the console until he gets the shelves together.
Or better yet, hire a handyman to put them together and make your DH write the check
TheOaf66 replied: careful now, I am an avid video game player as well so don't say bad things and I am 31
sem replied: well, when I was married, I was adamant I never wanted a video game console in the house. Not because of the kids, but because of hubby. He bought one anyway and it wasn't too long before I was filing for divorce. Of course that wasn't the only thing, but it didn't help at all.
Calimama replied: Just remember how much you missed him when he was gone!
MoonMama replied: DH is 33 so I guess its not just him...I don't mind him playing usually but right now...I want my darn shelves put together! LOL! He says he promises he will do it this afternoon.
sparkys2boys replied: ignore him..lol!!
TheOaf66 replied: see now that is why I play when everyone else is in bed or gone, I always do my "honey do" list first
MoonMama replied: I need to start giving DH a "honey do" list for him to do before anything else. Great idea.
TheOaf66 replied: just like a kid, you have to do your chores before you can play
Boo&BugsMom replied: Perhaps you should take your own advice.
Just like a man...no motivation...hem and haw...
TheOaf66 replied: We just won't go there
MoonMama replied: ^ ^
Twelve Volt Man replied: The poor guy is probably just exhausted from work. He needs a break, and needs to be pampered. I'd suggest making him a tasty and elaborate dinner, then sending him out with his buddies for a few beers. Make sure the house is clean when he gets home, so that he can relax. When he finally arrives, even if it's at 4 AM, give him a nice massage. At that point, he should be good and relaxed, and ready to put together that shelf next week. I hope this helped!
Boo&BugsMom replied: Oh WOW! That's a bunch of crap if I ever did read it! Don't be filling up the heads of our men here with unrealistic dreams, please! My hubby will read this any moment now. Can't wait to see what he'd think. I can hear him now........
TheOaf66 replied: diggin your own grave there buddy, I found that amusing and I am glad there is another guy on here to make such comments...it was good knowing you while it lasted now the women will slowly kill you
coasterqueen replied: You men are a riot. If my husband suggested that or even thought that he knows he'd be slapped into the next county!
To OP: I say get your man under control! Tell him who's boss! Or just ignore him when he wants dinner or clean underwear.?.
Boo&BugsMom replied: Or something else!
TheOaf66 replied: don't give away all your secrets hon
Boo&BugsMom replied: Hey, I've gotta help a woman out here!
MoonMama replied: Here, here.... What dream world are you from?
I'm so with you Jennie!
And as far as who is boss...Braedin and I are going out shopping for a few hours with my mom...a buddy of his is coming over and they WILL be put together when I get home!
Twelve Volt Man replied:
Trust me... men don't need clean underwear. The threat of withholding them is like threatening to withhold a T-bone from a vegetarian.
holley79 replied: I'm sorry. I would defiantly just leave them there till he moves them. At least you are willing to help put them together. How much better can it get.
redchief replied: As I read this, guess what Lisa's doing.
CantWait replied: Between you Troy, and Ed on this board I'm always rollin
luvmykids replied: Washing your underwear?
I saw your other post Ally but if I'd seen this one first I would have commiserated with you
And Jennie, you've got Troy pretty well trained
