DH inadvertently taught Thomas a new word...

We try to be careful about what we say around Ashley, but we've had a slip or two. Kids always remember what you don't want them to!

DansMom replied: I've heard the best way to undo the learned word is to ignore it (and have DH stop doing it too of course!) so that he forgets about it---or start saying something else in the same context, like "Drat!".

Yup we have been ignoring it, DH tries to start and discipline but I remind him to just let it go and stop saying it himself.

coasterqueen replied: LOL. Cute, but hope he doesn't finish the word, lol. I slip sometimes, but I am a lot better than my dh. Grrr. He says he cusses like a sailor. Whatever that means. LOL. Everytime he says a cuss word like "f'in cat", I'll say "what cat?" then he will say "darn cat". LOL. He says he cusses and doesn't even know he does it, so I am helping him out by pointing it out, lol.

MomofTay&Sam replied: OH no..sorry I wont laugh! I had to learn how to say shoot really fast, seems Sh*T is a very easy word for a 14 month old to say! It's so hard when you have an almost teen, you forget you cant say such words. I am by far worse than DH.
