Cussing?

5littleladies replied: The only time I use curse words is in fun-It really shock the pants of people when I swear because I NEVER do it. And I absolutely don't do it in front of my kids. I think swearing is gratituous and there are better ways to express oneself, but that's just my opinion.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I use way too many dirty words. I need to clean up my potty mouth and I have gotten better....I'm working on it. There are certain words I dont' like and I prefer that people not use cuss words around my children.

ions_momma replied: My DH and I both cuss quite a bit. DH especially when he is mad! OF course, living right off of college campus and since DH is in college most of our friends are college students so Ion hears it alot. I try not to say very many around him, but I realize that I do. Which is probably the reason that we have the problem with him saying them now too. He is getting better though, thankfully!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I used to curse a lot when I was in my early twenties because I was hanging out with people that cursed a lot...and what you hear everyday somehow suddenly sounds normal. But now I rarely ever curse and I actually think it makes someone sound less intelligent IMO. Definitely not around kids. If I'm with my girlfriends and a couple words come out here or there, I'm okay with it.

Nathansmom replied: I used to be bad, now I'm better because of being with the baby all day. DH and I started a "swear jar" so if we catch ourselves doing it around Nathan, we have to pay up.

luvbug00 replied: We curse all the time and I don't care if you sware in frount of Mya. She has heard it all her life and never used them. My personal opinion is she'll hear them anyway no big deal and there are other things I'm more worried about. JMO.

sunshine girls replied: I swear sometimes, but I try not to around Elle and Gwen. If I do let a swear word slip around them they look outraged and always pull me up on it so I think I've taught them well about how it's not nice. They never swear and know it's not a nice thing to do.
I don't like certain swear words though, and I know people are always going to swear and my kids will be around people who do swear, it's unavoidable. I just try to make sure they know it's not polite.
I don't mind people swearing around me, as long as they don't use the swear word I'm particuarly against.
