Crystal, what's wrong with Gabriella

My2Beauties replied: I thought Bri had the list...she hasn't logged on myspace since 1/4/09, some of her friends are sending comments asking what is wrong. I tried to go to one of her friend's pages to see if Crystal commented back but that girl's page is private.

Yep, find out the name of the nearest hospital and call. At least we will know whether or not Gabriella was admitted and it will ease the curiosity of how serious it is.

I'm happy to call but I am sure they won't give me specifics....

I just remembered the niece died and it made the papers...but I can't determine where exactly they live now. Maybe columbus?

My2Beauties replied: I hope you guys get a hold of someone. I'm worried to death now. She is on myspace at least once a day and usually comes on here too. That was the last time she updated. No one else has made any comments on her page since that day neither.

mckayleesmom replied: Her sisters number isn't listed. There are other Rebecca's but they are to old to be her sister and not in the right area.

My2Beauties replied: Is her sister the second person on her myspace? Anywhoo - that person logged in yesterday and no updates or anything, she has a little snip about Olivia (Crystal's niece that passed) but I'm not thinking this is her sis. The girls' screen name shows as Jen Jen. Their hometown is Cambridge, Oh.

actually I'm not completely sure if that is her sister or not (she does have a lot of siblings and nieces and nephews though) but the last time Crystal was missing for a while I sent her a message and she updated me rather quickly.

No..I think its the one that says Bubbles...but its private, but I'm not sure. I just saw a comment where she said Crystal was the best aunt..I tried to send a message to her, but it wouldn' let me.

They won't give info, but you can ask to be connected to her room. If she isn't there they will say they don't have a patient under that name, then you will at least know she isn't in the hospital.
... not that I have ever tried that before...

cameragirl21 replied: ok, I spoke to Crystal's dh's MIL. Gabby has RSV and pneumonia but is now home from the hospital. She wouldn't give me Crystal's number but said she is going there later today and will give Crystal my number to call me at which point I'll let you all know what is up.
The MIL said the baby is doing better and is in her words "fine now."
phew, you all have no idea what I went thru to get her number and that info, lol.

however I am confused, you called the hospital and talk to the MIL and she said the baby was home?

My2Beauties replied: Shew - thank goodness. I think she got another # another way somehow Di, I'm not sure though.

Crystal lives in a tiny town of about 400 people so I called the chamber of commerce, if you can call it that to see where the closest hospital would be. I tried to call an area business to get that info but the lady only wanted to sell me something so I called the COC. I told the lady at the COC the situation (briefly just so she could understand what I wanted...I said, if I lived in this town and had a sick baby, which hospital would I likely go to, because here in Miami we have specialty children's hospitals, etc) and she gave me a number of someone else in that town with Crystal's last name...I could barely understand him when he spoke, he didn't seem to quite understand what I wanted so he gave me Crystal's MIL's number and that is how I got to where we are right now.

cameragirl21 replied: I should add that the lady at the COC did give me the closest hospital's number but after I briefly explained the situation to her she then she decided to check if Crystal is listed..she's not but she found another person w/that last name and suggested I try that. In such a small town, it's likely that people will know each other so I gave it a shot. The guy I called was a bit hard to understand and I'd bet the farm and then some that he still doesn't understand who I am and why I called, even though I explained it to him twice. So I finally asked him how I can reach Crystal and he gave me her MIL's number.
Whew.

cameragirl21 replied: I should also add that in as much as I love being a city girl, this whole incident made me realize the tremendous advantage of living in a small town. If someone had called one of Miami's COCs (and we have several) with this type of situation, the lady who answers the phone would likely tell him/her to F off. In Spanish.
