Communicating with your SO

DVFlyer wrote: This thread is a spin off of another thread. Does anyone else find that they "talk" with their SO more through email/ IM etc than they do in person?

My wife and I seem to chat all day via email, but really don't say much when I get home. It's not like we're ignoring each other, it's like we handled stuff we needed to while I was at work so there is nothing left to say to each other... rolling_smile.gif blink.gif

luvmykids replied: Yep, unfortunately we text a lot during the day. The difference between you and us though is at home, we ARE ignoring each other laugh.gif blush.gif sleep.gif

BAC'sMom replied: Nope. But we do talk on the phone a few times during the day.

lovemy2 replied: Nope DH hates texting and the phone so when I get home he talks my ear off rolling_smile.gif

Calimama replied: Yep. I talk to him more on IM then I do in person or on the phone during the year. When he's home, no. He texts me a lot during the day but we still have a ton to say to each other. We're both big talkers. rolling_smile.gif

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: we to text/IM quite a bit during the day but also talk at night.

My3LilMonkeys replied: Well we work opposite shifts so Mon - Fri the only communication we have is phone calls, texts and notes back and forth. On the weekends we usually talk in person though.

Boo&BugsMom replied: For Troy and I it's a little like that. Since we work opposite shifts we don't really get to talk a lot during the week. If we both worked the same shift we would talk more then, but since we can't and have no choice really, email...and PC laugh.gif are used during the day while he is at work. At night I make a phonecall to tell the boys goodnight and to talk to Troy for a few minutes. When I get home from work we have some pillow talk, normally. Unless it's a night like tonight where he is too enthralled with his new UFC XBox game. rolleyes.gif laugh.gif We don't IM though, and we rarely text message.

TheOaf66 replied: I am saving all my deep conversation for when we are old and retired and have to spend all the time with each other. Don't wanna get all talked out now and then have nothing to talk about then and just get on each others nerves...she will kill me laugh.gif

coasterqueen replied:
Yep, this is us. We not only communicate via email, phone, text during the day, but we usually eat lunch together. We still talk in the evening, but most of our convos are done during the day. If we couldn't communicate during the day, nothing that needs to get done would get done.

My2Beauties replied: We have lunch together a lot during the day and we do text a lot during the day, he doesn't email LOL! We also talk at night though, I make it a point to cook dinner almost every night and we sit down as a family and eat dinner. I love that time we spend together wub.gif

DVFlyer replied:
LOL.... I think. smile.gif

luvmykids replied:
It's funny, and not. We're just not on the best of terms at the moment wink.gif

DVFlyer replied: BTDT. smile.gif

lovemy2 replied:

Our Lil' Family replied:

A&A'smommy replied: rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif we text but thats about it and sometimes talk on yahoo messenger when he is being lazy at work rolleyes.gif but it seems like since we have started doing that we talk more at home which is good but before we really didn't talk much. But now i even send him MMS of the kids he LOVES it tongue.gif love2.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: We communicate about as much in person as we do by txt.

Cece00 replied: we "talk" by txt a lot bc we both work during the day, but we talk a lot @ home too, so no, I dont think we txt or email more...

~Roo'sMama~ replied: We usually talk on the phone a couple times a day, but rarely email or text. Most of our talking is in person when Dh is home. happy.gif
