Colt made me bust a gut

luvmykids wrote: I let him watch "The Cowboys" with John Wayne, thinking since it was PG it was probably ok. It didn't dawn on me that's the OLD rating system LOL.

Anyway, I hear him tell the girls "Get the hell off my ranch!" I said "Colt Clyde, what did you just say?" So he repeated it, I said I didn't ever want to hear that again. After a long pause he said "Why, is ranch a bad word?" rolling_smile.gif

After I stopped laughing I said no, but hell is, he said "It can't be too bad, I heard it in church." emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Mon, he is way too smart for his own good!!! laugh.gif You're in trouble with that one.

Btw, Ethan is THREE and watches John Wayne with Scotty on the weekends. He loves it. I can't deny them of that, can I?? I mean, it's John Wayne!!!!! tongue.gif

:rollsmile:Noooo, that's real "guy" stuff. You have to make some exceptions, right?!

Colt's favorite movie up until a year ago was Lonesome Dove....nobody could believe he'd seen it enough to quote from it at that age blush.gif

What's really bad is when he tries to imitate John Wayne with a Slim Jim dangling out of the corner of his mouth emlaugh.gif

Celestrina replied: rolling_smile.gif Oh no, my sides hurt from laughing...

Mommy2BAK replied: HAHAHA!!!!! rolling_smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied: rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif I LOVE john Wayne!!!

Twelve Volt Man replied: No little boy should ever be deprived of the opportunity to watch John Wayne, or any other Western, for that matter. It teaches them to grow up and be a tough, strapping man. Or, you could turn off the Westerns and risk raising a future ballet dancer. The choice is yours! wink.gif

gr33n3y3z replied: emlaugh.gif he is to much you gotta love him wink.gif

lovemykiddies replied: emlaugh.gif That is hilarious! Sooo cute.

lovemy2 replied: After your inlaws are done with him for a week how about sending him to upstate NY - I would LOVE a week of a REAL comedian in my house rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

I actually laughed out loud on that one... too funny. You have to post a video of the John Wayne imitation with the slim jim!

Boy's got a point!!!! I think we should get him & Tanner (mel's son) together. Sounds like they'd be two peas in a pod!

We got caught by the "old" rating system, too! Our town has a "Town Night" on the first Sat of the month. In the summer, they show movies on the side on an old building. Everyone camps out with their kids, popcorn, blankets, etc. The last one last year was Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark. What the heck~it's rated PG~right? YIKES!!! We had to cover O's ears and eyes so much she thought she lost her sight & her hearing. tongue.gif

Mommy2Isabella replied: emlaugh.gif emlaugh.gif rolling_smile.gif TOO FUNNY ...
I can't wait until Bella is old enough to do things like that ..
