Ciao~Adios~Shalom~See ya later - winter clothes!
C&K*s Mommie wrote: Till later this year winter blues and winter clothes. Nice knowing ya!
I am not bragging about our unusually warm weather (we will pay later during the Hurricane season), but I am soooo excited to be (hopefully) doing the last washings of winter clothes for this season. Other than maybe a light jacket to keep around for the kids, or light sweatshirt -- the rest is going on a long vacation to the closet.
Come the heatwave of '06, I know I will be wishing for cooler weather, but for now I am happy to let the kids run "free" if they choose, and not have to keep up with socks and jackets/coats & layers of clothes.
How is your weather??
MyBlueEyedBabies replied: It's 31 but supposed to get up to 55 today. I hear we are supposed to get a storm next week. Our winter clothes will stick arround until July
Bee_Kay replied: Still pretty cold here.... about 20 degrees (F) when I got up this morning.
PrairieMom replied: Its in the 40's here, but they are talking about snow for tomorrow. We almost always have snow on my birthday, ( in 2 weeks) and usually have a little into April, so I'm not packing anything away just yet.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: It'll be close to June before I feel comfortable putting up the last of the winter gear.
A&A'smommy replied: oh no kidding we need to do some serious shopping for summer clothes it SUCKS though I'm SOOO not looking forward to hurricane season this year
BTW where do you live?
My3LilMonkeys replied: We've got a few months of winter left yet.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I am not a chicken when it comes to Hurricanes, but seeing what has happened with people and fighting their insurance over things (like flood damage vs wind damgage) has made me really consider getting out dodge sooner than later (well in several years, really )It is going to be a whopper of a season for a looonnng time.
Oh, and I live up here in the Panhandle of Florida~ Pensacola ~~~~ As much as I dislike the cold, I would trade any of you guys weather for awhile if I could. Except for you Barb, 20degrees??
huggybugboy replied: ours was beautiful but its back down to the low 50s thats freeeezing for us!
luvmykids replied: I've been slowly putting away winter stuff hoping it will help spring sneak in ... but we're still a little up and down. Today was in the 60's but next week is supposed to be cooler again.
CantWait replied: After an unusually warm winter it has finally started to get cold her and we got our first large snowfall of the year a couple days ago.
I'm hoping tomorrow will at least be warm enough to go tabogganing.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Well, let's see...our weather here in Dallas has been all over the charts this week and I'm really paying for it (it gives me severe headaches)
It's been nice all week. Weds it was 92 degrees. Today the high was 65 I think. Hopefully it will stay nice for awhile...before it gets too darn hot. The kids are having a blast playing outside. Even though we didn't have much of a winter, I'm still glad to see it go.
CAMSMOM1 replied: I know, I'm so excited too! OF course, in California, the weather is always warm...even in the winter. (at least compared to other places.) Lately it's been in the 60's and 70's. But the last couple of days it cooled way down from the rain.
I'm thinking the 90's will be here soon. Can't wait!
MamaJAM replied: I feel like we just got out the winter stuff. The weather here can't make up it's mind -- it's been 50s one day then 30s the next! As a 'winter person' - I wish we could keep the cold weather clothing out all year...but the warmer weather will be here soon, too.
C&K*s Mommie replied: We have had some Texas weather days too, where the weather cannot make up its mind. Although unlike TX, it does change from hour to hour. Lately it has been nice though.
