Children's Bedding - Where did you buy yours?

Bamamom wrote: We got our crib bedding from Pottery Barn and I love it. No where around here sells "nice" children's bedding. Yeah I could pick something up at Walmart but I want something that is going to look nice and going to last through several years. Any suggestions of places I could look - perferably online? It's his "big boy" room and I want to do it up right. Thanks all!

CantWait replied: I got Anthony's at Walmart. It's "Finding Nemo", it's last him just fine, hasn't lost colour and is thick. I don't think the expense of the store has anything to do with it.
I guess it depends on what your theme is. I'd start from there. Good Luck.

Boo&BugsMom replied: Tanner's at Target. Baby bedding I got from Walmart.com

DillsMommy replied: We got some of Dylans at Target. So far they have held up well. Babies R Us has some really cute bedding, I think they have "big kids" bedding too.

Paprikash replied: How about ebay? There's a lot of brand new children's bedding for sale there.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: I got Wil's big boy bedding at Pottery Barn Kids too. But like Marie said, it depends on the theme you want. I didn't want any characters and was having a hard time finding just a plain quilt, so I went with PBK. Target has some cute ones too.

Calimama replied: We got ours at a little boutique here. It's holding up great.. but then it's only been 6 months. tongue.gif

Kentuckychick replied: I got my bedding at JCPenney (it's a sage green asian print comforter) when I worked there and I LOVE it. It's held up beautifully. My cousins all have had their JcP quilts (all dif. sizes, but kids quilts) for years and love them too... they have some pretty cute bedding. I don't remember ever having returns working in catalog or home unless the customer just didn't care for the pattern.

My godson has the Target monkey bedding and it's also held up very well and is really, really cute.

I don't think it has to be ungodly expensive anymore to be good quality. The sheets though... I buy the more expensive just for comfort wink.gif

Boo&BugsMom replied:
I agree. I paid under $80 for the crib set we got at Walmart.com and it's nice and plush. I have looked at other crib sets over $200 and they are thinner and less quality than the one I got. More expensive doesn't always mean better, it just means you're paying more for a name. Tanner's we got at Target is still in great shape, and he's 4 1/2. He doesn't use it anymore, but after washing it every week for 2 years there is nothing wrong with it. The quilt from Target he has now is still in great condition too and he's had it for 2 years now.

PrairieMom replied: we got both of ours at Target.

Jamison'smama replied: Jamison's bedding is from bed bath and beyond B B and B, They have a lot of cute kid's bedding.

Jack's is a mixture. I bought some car sheets from WalMart I think and red quilt from Pottery Barn Kids.

stella6979 replied:
Funny you should mention sheets. DH and I just bought our first set of really expensive sheets and I never realized what a difference there is. I will never go back to the $15.00 sheets again. biggrin.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Their crib bedding was custom made. I got Ethan a plain comforter from Target to match his curtains and other accessories that were already in there.

I just bought Maddie some new bedding at Target as well. It's from the Simply Shabby Chic collection.

You can find some great stuff out there to mix and match if you don't care for a particular character theme. wink.gif Good luck! thumb.gif

Brias3 replied: All three bedsets right now are from Pottery Barn Kids. They have held up really well- I've purchased them in the past and even had infant bedding from them.

skinkybaby replied: I got the baby's bedding from Pottery Barn Kids and Grace's new big girl bedding is from Bombay Kids.

Bamamom replied: Thanks guys - this helped alot. You guys named some places that I didn't even know had kid's bedding. And I'm glad to know that the Target and Walmart stuff holds up - I've only ever bought sheets and such and have never been impressed with the quality so I just didn't consider them for the comforter set.

Thanks again! thumb.gif

micamom replied: i got my boys an underwater theme, and a outerspace theme from www.kukunest.com
my boys picked these out themselves, and they are happy with them.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: I got mine for Zach at Walmart about 4 years ago. It's very thick, plush, has been through the washing machine countkess times, hasn't even lost it's shape in the way lots of comforters do.

It's nice... dark blue, with green, orange, light blue yellow and red trucks and cars on it. Reversible too. I bought the ,atching cutains etc that went with it, he still loves it

momtoMegan&Alyxandria replied: I know you aren't looking for the bed, but you gotta check these sites out for really cool beds.

I love the one at rooms to go kids that is the pumpkin carriage from Cinderalla. The rooms to go kids does also have bed lines.

Cece00 replied: Target and Babies R Us. They've all held up very well, esp a quilt I got @ Target (not a comforter- a quilt)

boyohboyohboy replied: I got mine at walmat, now the comforter was great, but the trouble I have is with crib bumpers, most of the time the stuffing is not a good quality and the first time I wash it, its ruined, it balls up and wont lay flat again...
so now they say not to use crib bumpers, and I havent decided yet if we are with this baby....but most of the time, we buy the stuff seperate now.

My3LilMonkeys replied: Walmart and Target for all of ours and it has held up pretty well - A few of the 'favorite' sheets that have been in almost constant use since Brooke was first born are starting to fade now 3.5 years later.
