Child abuse - vent

I told him I was fine and let’s get started. To make a very long story short (report took 2.5 hours.) the case involved three children locked in the trunk of a car by their mother!!!!! I could not believe what I was hearing. This “mother” locked her three children in the trunk of her car while she went into a bar. Luckily a passerby heard one of the children crying and called the Sheriff’s Office. We called out Pop A Lock and got the children out. EMS arrived on scene and deputies went inside to get the “mother”. (She is OH SO lucky it was them and not me coming in to get her.) The good news is, the children are fine. The other good news, she is sitting behind bars tonight on a No Bond.

I just can’t understand how people who are so deserving of children and would make wonderful parents never get the opputunity. Then you have those that are so blessed with an abundance of children and are so horrible to these precious children. I don’t mean to vent. This was just horrible. I had to get up after finishing off the report. I had a little bit of a teary session. It was rage and relief. I was very angry with the “mother” but very relieved that the children were fine. What an emotional night tonight.

It got a little better afterwards but we have been very busy tonight. It is going on 4 am and we have finally quieted down.

I am glad that the magistrate has put her under a 'no bond'...wonder if that is for her own safety from other moms out there.

I have a friend who is a social worker....the stories she tells me involving children could easily make a horror film, the likes of which that has never been seen before.

Poor kiddos....I am glad the kids had the sense to make noise when they heard someone walking past and that those people got involved. I cannot imagine mom getting behind the wheel, possibly drunk, and driving home with them back there. HAD she even made it home, then possibly forgetting them in the trunk.
I loathe and I mean LOATHE parents who take the welfare of their kids for granted and place them in danger like that. Hopefully it will be a long time before 'mom' gets them back.

Child abuse is a topic for me!

How smart of the kids to make noise so someone would here them. Also how kind of someone to pay attention instead of walking by pretending to mind their own business.

I don't understand people either - I mean if you're truly not a good Mom (and you know this had to cross her mind as she's stuffing her kids into the back of her car) get help or get your children a better life somehow. Get yourself together and figure it out, as parents we don't come first anymore!

I worked for Childrens Aid society here in Ontario and I am telling you the things that you see I had to leave because I know I was going to lose it with some of the apparent people that gave birth to these children.

I don't understand why you need a licence to drive, to smoke, to drink but just anyone can have a child and when there are other people out there tryng to have kids or can't have children and they would be excellent parents. I just don't get it.

CantWait replied: That's freaking horrible. I feel so bad for the children having to go through that. I read the more recent post earlier, and am glad that she'll never be allowed to see heads or tails of these kids again and they're back and safe with dad
