Checking their diapers - Anyone do this?

I have been known to check by smelling to see if Caden is dirty though Sometimes it's just easier to take a whiff than to undo buttons or take of pants to check

Nathansmom replied: My Mom tried in vain to get me to just stick my finger in, and I did the finger thing once, and came out with a poopy finger...yuck! So, I will never do that again. Luckily for me, that was before solids.
Now, I just smell, or peek a bit.

I just sniff. Even that is bad enough! I use cloth diapers at home and change them every one or two hours... if they are dirty they get changed straight away. I use disposables when we go out and overnight. Unless they are dirty then I only change them every three or four hours. I think disposables are pretty absorbent anyway...

Kayla just wears her cloth diapers without a cover anyway & I change as soon as she wets or poops, which is about every hour or so.
