Carter's Outlet - in love!

I just went to ours today for the first time (it's only been around for a few months). First of all... I had NO idea that they made clothes for bigger kids! Second of all -- it's the best place ever! I walked into the store and I was not attacked by leopard print or short skirts or leather of any kind!
My two favorite kids clothing brands have been Carter's and Gymboree for a long long time but Nichole won't buy them because they're "too expensive" (forget me trying to explain the discount theory to her) - she always goes to JCPenney (and I love JcPenneyas much as the next person -- I worked there for FIVE years) but she gets Okie Dokey and I am not a fan of buying way more cheaply made clothes for a couple dollars less.
Anyway -- I bought $80 worth of clothes for Caydee for her birthday (a pair of monkey footie pj's, a cute jacket/pants suit and a turtleneck) for $30!
Then I got a coupon for $10 off my next purchase of $35 or more... that I'll spend getting Connor pj's for his birthday because who knew they had size 5 (and 6 and 7) regular pj's!?!?
I'm in love. No really.
bluebear replied: I've never seen a Carters store or any store that carried those clothes except for BJ's, but believe me if I had money I'd spend sooo much money on my little cousins! (even though they have so many clothes)
Mommy2Isabella replied: we have one here, and I love it as well. They have the same line at Babies R Us right now for WAY MORE MONEY! We were actually at the outlet today and got Isaia a new pair of PJ's the child is lacking MAJORLY!
MoonMama replied: We have a Carter's outlet (and also Children's Place and Gymboree outlets too). LOVE them! I always get some seriously amazing deals.
Danalana replied: There's one we go to when we go to the beach (not happening this year), and I LOVE it. It's one of my favorite stores...I just love the Carter's brand!
amymom replied: lol I thought this thread was about Dana's baby!!
coasterqueen replied: Carters being too expensive? Huh? I LOVE LOVE Carters outlet store. We don't have one around here, but we go once a year when we visit friends. They always have awesome deals
A&A'smommy replied: haha I went there yesterday also (I was in Foley, Al ) I have NEVER been able to find clothes Alyssa size until VERY recently. I bought about 300 dollars worth of stuff for 172 dollars they were having a big sale!!!
~Roo'sMama~ replied: I love Carters too... I've only been to an outlet store twice though, and the Carters store in the Mall of America a couple times. I usually get Carters stuff at Kohls or Herbergers for 50 or 60% off - sometimes more. I've seen their stuff at JC Penney and Sears too, but it's not usually on sale there.
A&A'smommy replied: ahhhh Foley I love it.. I totally get excited in there and feel like a huge dork I went yesterday and I'm going again in september but i will have autumn with me hopefully she will do good shopping with mommy
Kentuckychick replied: I think she only ever looks at the regular prices on the tags and fully disregards sale prices or something. I took her into Gymboree about a month ago and she ended up buying 8 outfits for $40 and couldn't believe that she could actually afford to shop there.
I think she has just been led by her mother to believe that she can't afford good quality so she has to settle for the cruddy stuff when the reality is she CAN afford to pay a little more for some things that are necessary... and also that there are a lot of GREAT quality things for great prices. She just wasn't looking in the right places.
coasterqueen replied: Ah, I see. You know what makes it a bit easier for me, too, is that I know when I buy something a bit more quality I know it will usually last BOTH girls. If I just had one and it wasn't being passed down to another one of my children...I'd have a harder time paying the prices.
