Can't find it - out of stock toy
mysweetpeasWil&Wes wrote: So we gave the boys two of those shake 'n' go cars tonight for Hanukkah and they went NUTS over them! They love those things! I mentioned a while back that we were considering the track, but wasn't sure. Most of you said your kids enjoyed it so now we want to get it as a joint gift for Xmas. DH and I both do NOT want the newest "crash-up" version, but we can't seem to find the regular one that probably came out sometime last year. I've been to all the big box stores. And I see Ebay is selling the regular one for like $100+ (I think it retails for $40). Anyone know what the deal is? Even the fisherprice site doesn't sell the older one. Toyrus shows it on their site, but says it's out of stock. Grrrr. Anyone good at finding items online? Help please.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Holy cow!!! 10AA batteries. No way!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: You are GOOD!!! I feel like an idiot now , both DH and I were searching forever. All that came up was the crash up one or ebay for lots of money. Yay! I'll go order now...hopefully they can get it here in time. THANKS
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Looks cool, but not the same. These cars are pretty big. Thanks for searching though!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Darn it! I didn't check that. Seems to be the case everywhere!
Amy, your other link didn't open for me.
amynicole21 replied: Google "SHAKE N GO SPEEDWAY RACE TRACK" Should be the 5th one down at the megaauction site.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Thanks! I'm seeing a lot there!
Boo&BugsMom replied: They might not make the model anymore. I hope you find it though. I think my mom only paid $35, or $40 for Tanner's so I wouldn't pay much more than that. $100 is a rip off!
Cece00 replied: I bought the new one today...what is the difference between the new & old one?
Boo&BugsMom replied: The new one crashes, the old one doesn't, it just goes around.
redplaydoh replied: If I were in the US I would mail you ours free of charge. We got it last Christmas for the boys and the track pieces don't stay together and they can play with it for about 10 minutes before it's all apart. I thought for a while THEY were ripping it apart, but just the motion of the cars zooming around makes the connections work apart.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Thanks for the offer, that's sweet of you! Wish you were closer. That's what I read from a lot of the reviews too. But some people said they had no problem. Jennie, do you guys have that problem with your's? I think Jen has it too.
The difference with the crashup versus the regular is what Jennie said. DH and I just didn't like the idea of a toy promoting car wrecks. The car doors crash open on the cars too, which I am afraid would come loose - Wesley still puts things in his mouth. JMHO.
Yeah, I would NEVER pay $100 for it. I imagine they just don't make it anymore and that's why it's going for so much on Ebay. Which keep that in mind for those of you who ever want to sell it!!!! You can get big bucks!! Probably more for the Disney one!! All the auction tracks have like a $48 shipping charge or something! Crazy. I'll keep searching on the site Amy posted. I'm not so great at this auction thing, but I'll work on it. Thanks
Boo&BugsMom replied: Nope. The only problem we've had is that is comes apart easily when you want to transport it. It is stored under Tanner's bed upstairs but if we want to take it downstairs we have to take it down in pieces, which is standard for many if not all car tracks anyways. And there are very few pieces where it is easy to put back together. It never comes apart when we are playing with it though. It's pretty sturdy if you ask me.
Cece00 replied: See, I think that is what my kids will like about it
Cece00 replied: You could always tape the underside of the tracks, OR you could super glue the tracks together. I remember someone saying the tracks did that & so I pretty much decided if we have that problem, I'm just going to super glue the tracks together so its not an issue. We have a BIG playroom in our house so its got plenty of room to stay put together...everything else is
