Can you dress them both up the same?

coasterqueen wrote: I had to take something back to the store today and found a cute Christmas outfit for the girls. They are matching outfits. Dh thinks it's really dorky to dress them both in the same outfit. What's your opinion on that?

In all honesty I got matching outfits because I didn't want to deal with finding something for the both of them that wouldn't "clash'. rolleyes.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: My mom dressed my sister and I the same until we were 8 and 6 at Easter. I don't see why you shouldn't dress the girls up identically.

Mommy2BAK replied: Awww, I think it would be cute. Atleast they are close in age. My g-ma would always send me and my sister matching easter dresses and we were 7 years apart, which was quite dorky for me at 13 to be matcing my 6 year old sister dunce.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Well my sister and I are two years apart, and my mom's step-mom used to make us matching dresses all of the time. Of course I was little so I don't know how it looked but I think we look pretty cute in the pictures! happy.gif

ediep replied: sure, I think its cute

my friend will occasionally dress her 1yo and her 3yo the same

they look adorable!

amynicole21 replied: I think it will be adorable thumb.gif As long as you don't wear the same dress too... now that would be weird rolling_smile.gif

ediep replied:

MomToMany replied:
rolling_smile.gif LOL, ITA!

They would look so kissably adorable dressed up the same wub.gif wub.gif !

A&A'smommy replied: OH NO I think that is REALLY cute!!! Alyssa and her cousin were dressed the same for christmas I thought it was really cute!!! love2.gif

3xsthefun replied: I think it would be cute! I've dressed my girls up the same a couple of times.

MommyToAshley replied: I think it looks cute to have them dressed the same. My sister's girls are 2 years apart and she used to dress them the same on some occasions. She'd also get them the same dress in different colors and that looked pretty cute too.

I can't wait to see the pictures. I can't believe it is time to start thinking about Holiday pictures already! ohmy.gif

coasterqueen replied: Thanks everyone. I decided to go with the outfits so I tried Kylie's on her today and it didn't fit bawling.gif and it's the biggest size they had. sad.gif So I guess it's back to the drawing board to find something else. Yeah, I know, lots of time to get something. It's just that I know I won't always have an opportunity to shop for something for them and then that combined with Christmas shopping all by myself I just decided that when I see something I like for them to wear I'd grab it.

But if I can I think I am going to dress them the same for pics wink.gif.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Aww, that's too bad!! Good luck finding something new for her!

moxee24 replied: wub.gif I think it is so cute when you dress them the same (for hoildays and such) I do the same with my DS and my two nephews. They are all real close in age(16 months, 2yrs, & 3 1/2 yrs) so it is still cute. wub.gif

SawyersMom replied: It's too bad that the dress didn't fit Kylie...it would have been adorable to dress them up in the same dress!

mammag replied: I think it would be cute too. We have pictures of when I was a little girl and my parents would dress my older sisters in the same dress, then the next year it would be me and the middle sister in the same dress. laugh.gif Now that was a little silly.

punkeemunkee'smom replied: OH that is too bad that it did not fit! My Bf here and I dressed the girls the same for lots of stuff...we even got their pics done together! I think it looks cute when they are dressed up the same! wub.gif Maybe you can find something else that matches!

six_kids_at_28 replied: I have identical 21 month old triplets and I dress them the same and for Halloween they are all going to be the same..its probably different b/c they are babies and identical triplets but if they look cute..go for it laugh.gif

Mom2Boyz replied: I don't see why not, I think they would look adorable wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif I actually got my boys matching outfits for the 4th of July blush.gif DH thought I was wierd, but I think they looked really cute wub.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Oh YEAH! It's just a little odd if the kids are YEARS apart..... but up to 3 years apart, I don't think it looks bad at all!!!

Actually, I just bought (from Walmart, of all places....) adorable little red velvet dresses with white faux-fur trim.... comes with a santa hat!

So both my girls will be dressed in that for the pics, and Zach will be wearing black dress pants and a red corduroy shirt

kimberley replied: aww that sucks it didn't fit Kylie. hope you find 2 more the same. that would be adorable! wub.gif

Boys r us replied: I think it would be adorable to dress them the same!! I do this with my boys as much as I can for pictures and so forth!! It's harder for me b/c there is a big difference in their age, so I can't always find them the exact outfit, but they're frequently dressed similar! I think it's sweet.

My2Beauties replied: I wish I could find matching dresses for Desiree and Hanna, but being 8 years apart it's hard. Desiree gets upset sometimes because they always have the cutest toddler Christmas dresses sad.gif and nothing really in her size, because she is so tall for her age, she always wants to dress up similar to Hanna, like Big Sister, Little Sister shirts and stuff. I am getting their pictures done mid-Nov - I think that the girls will look adorable dressed up alike!

5littleladies replied: Well I'm late on this one, but I dress my girls the same every Easter. My mom makes their Easter dresses every year and they are always the same and I think it's adorable! I don't know how much longer Madeline will stand for it though. wink.gif

My2Boyz replied: I think it is so cute when they are dressed the same. If I can find matching outfits for my 2 you better believe they will be wearing them. My DH will voice his opinion and I will just say "that's nice dear" smile.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: I think matching outfits are cute when the ages are pretty close. I will be dressing my girls in matching outfits for Christmas.

I say find new matching outfits and go for it!
