Can Not Edit!

If you log out, then the edit feature disappears for any previous posts. But I just noticed that the ones from today, the button is missing.

coasterqueen replied: Completely gone when you are getting ready to reply or post or is it after you've posted and want to go back and edit? You can only edit so many minutes after you've posted a message. After that it will not let you edit.

Boo&BugsMom replied: It's a post from this morning. The quoting just didn't work out right so I wanted to fix it. On this thread I can see my edit button though.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I think the reason the edit feature "time" was shortened was so that a person can't go back to a thread months from now and edit out things or add things. It really isn't that bad. IF one needs to edit it would usually need to be done in a matter of minutes from when you posted.

I understand the premise behind it though, it makes sense. I just wonder how long we have though before you can't do it anymore. This was within about a 10 minute span. I can see a day or so, but only 10 minutes?

I am anal as well and edit posts constantly, but I usually find it enough time after I've hit the reply button to see/read my post to know what needs to be edited. Honestly if you find a post you made later that had a grammatical/spelling error in it chances are no one realized it either.

Kaitlin'smom replied: Its 1/2 hour after you post. If you need something edited or removed for a reason other than spelling (we ALL make mistakes now and then) fell free to PM any mod or admin and we will look into it for you.
