Can I put him in his crib?
MoonMama wrote: Braedin absolutely and completely HATES and I mean HATE his bassinet. He would much rather sleep anywhere else. I've been putting him in his crib which is in our room but a few people have told me he MUST not be put in his bassinet till he is over 4 months old. I had know idea. And I swear some of my friends had their babies in cribs all along. So can I put him in his crib or should I hold off for a while?
Calimama replied: Bella is in her crib for naps. She still uses a sleep positioner though. My nephew slept in his crib since the day he was born.
MoonMama replied: Oh yeah Braedie has a sleep positioner too. Thanks for the info.
holley79 replied: Annika hated her bassinet also because she would hit the sides and wake herself. I don't see a problem with them being in a crib. Annika loved it.
MoonMama replied: Thanks Holley that helps a lot.
moped replied: Jack has always been in his crib..............I didn't know there was a rule either.
My3LilMonkeys replied: We had both our girls in a crib from day 1...never used a sleep positioner either.
sparkys2boys replied: Both of my boys were in a crib from day one also.. never heard of this"rule"??
C&K*s Mommie replied: I've never heard of this rule either. Think of it this way, all the people who do not have bassinets for their newborns what do/did they use? Cribs or co-sleeping would be a likely answer.
Sweet dreams to your son if you decide to allow him to start sleeping in the crib.
my2monkeyboys replied: There should be no problem with him in the crib. It's no different that the bassinet, really. Just roomier. I think the rule is that babies should be out of the bassinet by 4 months old, bc they'll be rolling over, etc. I would use the sleep positioner, keep loose blankets, stuffed animals, etc out of it. Just like normal. I'm sure he'll sleep much better and so will you!
mummy2girls replied: you can from day one.. im not sure why not and why everyone tells you not too...
MoonMama replied: Thanks everyone this helps a ton. He sleep way better in his crib. I just waned to be sure I wasn't doing something wrong.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Logan never slept in a bassinet. He was in his crib in his own room from day one. If Braed won't sleep in the bassinet, then move him to the crib. There is nothing wrong with that.
Boo&BugsMom replied: I think what you have been told is just either a myth that someone believed or someone's personal opinion. Tanner always slept in his crib. He hated his pack n play and we never could afford a seperate bassinet.
