Cameragirl21 (or anyone else!) - photo question for you

Kentuckychick wrote: I saw your storyboard post early and I loved it so much... I've always admired your work! I'm wanting to do something similar (not really a story, but photos together) and was wondering how you go about having something like that done or doing it. I wanted to do something with these four photos for Caydee's birthday;

The problem is I just don't know what to do other than simply framing them.
Any suggestions or ideas?

Cece00 replied: I dont know how to do it, but I want to tell you how CUTE your pics are.

What camera do you have?

Kentuckychick replied:
Aww thank you. I've been trying to practice more lately. Those were actual taken using my Nikon FM10 camera that I bought about 7 years ago for my senior year of highschool when I took photography. I hadn't used it in a while (digital cam. spoiled!) so I took it out the other night and finished up a roll from our summer vacation.

PS - I was just watching your siggy roll and you take some gorgeous photos yourself! What beautiful children!!

Crystalina replied: That second picture is sooo beautiful! wub.gif

cameragirl21 replied: Thank you for your kind words, Rachel, that's very nice of you.
Ok, first, cute pics, cute child! wub.gif
Ok, what you could do is a storyboard type print where you take the second pic and make it large and then line up the three others next to it, vertically...the only problem is that of the other three, you have 2 verticals and one horizontal which makes it harder to get good symmetry. Is the first shot cropped in or is that the original? If not, would you post the original, please?
ETA--you could make the 3 smaller ones square and get symmetry that way, you'd have to crop out the chest and part of the overhead of the last one, the diaper out of the third and the pavement out of the first. Let me know if you don't like that option and we'll come up with something else.

Kentuckychick replied:
Thank you, that one is my favorite. I was actually annoyed whe I took it because my brother walked out the door and she had looked up at him, but it turned out for the better I think happy.gif

Kentuckychick replied:
ooo... I love that idea. I've actually seen birth announcements like that and always thought they were really beautiful. The first picture is the original unfortunately. The third fourth one is actually cropped from this shot;

I was actually thinking about doing something with her little hands because I love the way she's holding the chalk, and her little dimples on the back look really cute so maybe I could crop and do that instead, or possibly crop the foot. I'll see what I can do there without taking too much away.

Thank you so much though! smile.gif

luvmykids replied: GREAT pics, what a doll! wub.gif

Calimama replied: She's so adorable! wub.gif

punkeemunkee'smom replied: Those are adorable pics!!! wub.gif I have several collage frames of Taylor in the same theme...maybe something like that would work thumb.gif

Thank you!

I think your pics are really great, though, really beautiful.. There is just something about a film camera that I find digis just dont *quite* match. I dont know what it is about them, but I have a film camera & it recently crapped out (its 25 yrs old) and I'm debating on whether to pay the $150 to fix it b/c I do love it a lot...

MommyToAshley replied: I think that is a neat idea. If you want to crop different parts, something like this would be really neat.
