COFFEE question??? - do you.....
sparkys2boys wrote: drink coffee and what kind and how much..lol?? I LOVE my coffee and love love love Tim Hortons. I drink way to much in the run of a day and wanted to know who else lives off the stuff and where they get it from when its not just made at home. And we all know home is never as good.... mmm for some reason I have a craving
luvmykids replied: I'm a total coffee addict too....at home I ALWAYS have fresh coffee, I just remake it all day long I drink it black but when I get it somewhere else like Starbucks I like Cafe Mocha, Orange Cafe Mocha, or an amaretto latte.
moped replied: Lvoe coffee, that might be the one thing I miss about not working - I go to second cup every single day. At home it is folgers or special stuff my sister brings me. I don't drink any more tan a couple of cups but I love my coffee and I do love tim's as well!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: Oh man. I should buy stock from Tim's.
I drink probably 3 or 4 cups of instant (taster's choice or nescafe) every day...and I have Tim's EVERY TIME I go out.
amynicole21 replied: We don't have Tim Horton's here I'm a Starbucks girl, but not proud of it.
Jamison'smama replied: Starbucks skinny gingerbread latte is my latest obsession--
mom21kid2dogs replied: I drink 2 cups a day~preferably BEFORE work!! (although I can drink it and go to bed~no problem) I make my own in my coffee toddy (cold pressed). I'm so hooked on the taste that it's hard for me to drink heat processed coffee. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my flavored creamers, too!!!
Calimama replied: Man I miss Starbucks.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I love Starbucks coffee blends. Especially the dark ones. But I always put flavored creamers in them. I'm hooked on the pralines and cream one lately.
lovemy2 replied: Dunkin Donuts girl here - all the way - toasted almond with cream....otherwise at home its whatever is on sale and some yummy flavored creamer
MotherForever2043 replied: I'm not a fan of Starbucks I'm a DUNKIN DONUTS ADDICT!!! When I go there, I usually order black, or cream w/ sugar, or Ice coffee. If I make it at home I drink DUNKIN DONUTS too! I buy the beans at Dunkin Donuts and ground them up myself. I LOVE COFFEE!!
Our Lil' Family replied: I'm not a Starbuck's fan either. I'm a CC's girl....it's a local brand (Community Coffee). I make my own at home every day. We don't have one of their shops nearby but it's that time of year for the Pecan Praline Latte's!!! I might have to venture out tomorrow! MMMMMM
MoonMama replied: I try very hard to stay away from caffeine, DH has it everyday though. But when I do drink it....at home I LOVE hazelnut and we order Gevalia, we have all kind from there. I know we get seasonal and holiday flavors as well sent from there every so often automatically but I have know idea how all that works DH deal with all that stuff, I just drink it. When I do get coffee out I LOVE Starbucks frozen caramel Frappuccino's.
Calimama replied: Oh those were my favorite! You guys are killing me.
MoonMama replied: Do they not have Starbucks there?
I am killing myself if it makes you feel any better. I am on such a health kick.
Calimama replied: No, there are 5. SOOOO close to me too! When we had Miabella DH and I (more so DH until I saw the benefits ) decided we should change our eating lifestyle (so to speak) to set good example and develop good habits for her... so Starbucks is out. It's a change that I'll never regret. But it's SO tempting since he's deployed and she's well.. a toddler.
MoonMama replied: I was going to say ....because we have one on like every corner.
But I know what you mean we are trying very hard to do the same things. Even though I get told I'm crazy for it and for all the organic stuff we use. And I LOVE my juicer he's never had juice that didn't come from the juicer.
ETA: But I am thrilled to be able to say....he has never had any kind of fastfood, soda, sugar (other then natural sugars in fruit or course), junk, etc.
Cece00 replied: I'm not all that into coffee but when I do get some, I also go to CC's...I live right near a huge subdivision in my city & there is a drive thru CC's so occasionally I just drive like 3 min down the road. And there is actually also a CC"s right next to my house (like literally behind my back yard) but its not a drive thru so I rarely go there.
Calimama replied:
Don't worry I'm "crazy" right there with you!! Some people really think I'm nuts when I explain how we eat organic mostly. My GMIL asked if it was related to Scientology. I think she was joking..
Mommy2Isabella replied:
Count me in ... as far as coffee goes ... I try to stear away from any caffeine drinks and such. I did however treat a friend who just had a baby to starbucks yesterday and couldn't resist, if I do get it, I get a soy white chocolate mocha!!
** as far as all organic ... my own parents SWEAR I had to be switched in the nursery, and as far as the DH goes, he just thinks I am part hippy but is ok with it seeing as he feels better because he eats better, we haven't had fast food in a GOOD WHILE thinking about it makes me SICK to my stomach ... ** so you girls aren't the only ones
MoonMama replied: YEAH! Join the club girlie!
Denise, I'm glad I'm not the only "crazy" one. And I hope she was kidding.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Ugh, coffee in my house is our biggest expense! Seriously. DH will only drink the organic French Roast from Whole Foods. It is $9.99 a pound, sometimes more. And we easily go through a lb in a week. He likes it BLACK and dark, so he grinds it himself at home and makes it extra strong, so you can imagine why we go through it so fast. I take mine with milk and sugar....And honestly, it is better than what we get out, even Starbucks. Speaking of, DH hasn't made it yet this morning, I'm needing some!!
coasterqueen replied: I love coffee, but I try not to love going to get it. I limit myself to the coffee pot at home or at work. I'm afraid if I start putting all kinds of stuff in it, that won't help me lose weight. I am an absolute freak about wanting coffee with dessert.
Oh, just straight black coffee for me.
coasterqueen replied: I LOVE organic coffee - the only kind we buy in our house. I tried buying it for work, but was told if I ever brought that stuff to work again I'd be fired. No one else liked it, obviously. So I just drink plain Folgers at work.
luvmykids replied: Oh yeah, if I can't have coffee with dessert I don't want it. Yuck.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: What? I can't believe your work didn't like it. I suppose maybe they were freaked by the cost. My ILs say that coffee is one of the most highly sprayed foods (the beans) out there, up there with broccoli and grapes. So that's why I will only go organic with it. I seriously think it takes a chunk out of our weekly allowance, but since DH doesn't drink alcohol or smoke, I will let this one pass.
I used to get headaches after drinking what they had in my office. And it made me feel jittery. Karen, do you ever get the same?
stella6979 replied: I hate coffee, but I do love the Iced Cappucinno's from Tim Horton's.
coasterqueen replied: No, it wasn't the cost. Cost isn't an issue in our office. I seriously think it's the taste. Organic coffee tastes smooth, clean, clear -- the only way I can describe it. Regular coffee does not. I think they are so used to the regular coffee taste they can't even open their mind to the taste of organic.
Yes, regular coffee does make me jittery, too.
holley79 replied: I use to be a HUGE coffee drinker before I got pregnant with Annika. I use to get up a little early and have a cup or a pot of coffee getting ready for work. Now the only time I get coffee is when I'm visiting someone or if I go through the Starbucks drive through. I love Hazelnut with mint chocolate chip creamer.
AlexsPajamaMama replied: I only ever order iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts...french vanilla with extra cream extra sugar! At home we have Maxwell House and use french vanilla creamer...I love to try all the differant yummy creamers!!
sparkys2boys replied:
did you say hate coffee.. *GASP*.. oh my..lol
MotherForever2043 replied: Me Too! When I don't have Dunkin's coffee, I'll drink Maxwell's French Roast.
