Brrrr! It's cold!
mommy~to~a~bunch wrote: Current temp is -26°F! Thank goodness there's no wind!
grapfruit replied: YIKES! Where do you live??
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: I'm in northern Minnesota .
boyohboyohboy replied: minnesota always makes me think of little house on the prarie..
lisar replied: Thats WAY to cold for me. Its 70degrees here.
Celestrina replied: *shivers* Man, I'm not sure I could handle that for very long.
grandma replied: WHERE do you live? It's 20 something here too......and snowing.
grapfruit replied: I'm mad at you Lisa! *grumbling: 70 degrees, gotta rub it in*
5littleladies replied: Brr!! We are still at a balmy 1 degree down here, but it is supposed to keep falling!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: We're cold today, too. It was 26 this morning with a high of 40 today. Way too cold for me. This week we have had crazy temps. It was 70 on Monday.
grapfruit replied: Aimee, where do you guys live?
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Dallas
grapfruit replied: So it's typically pretty warm for you guys then.
grandma replied: I'm so jealous, I love Texas!
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: Man, I wish we had some warmth here, it's going to be down to about -30°F on Saturday night! I can NOT wait for spring .
luvmykids replied: I'm freezing my tushie off too.....it's 10 right now, our high is supposed to be 22 At least it's warmed up since I got up this morning when it was 0
Maddie&EthansMom replied: For the better part of the year. Normally we have some cold snaps as early as October, but it doesn't stay cold. It's just erratic. January, February and most of March are cold. Spring Break is usually never warm. March is when we get the most snow...at least it seems that way to me. April can be pretty cool with some really hot days mixed in. Then you have June,July, August..hot, hotter, hottest.
If we have a mild summer, we have a mild winter. We had a mild summer last year. It has proved to be a mild winter so far.
lisar replied: I live in FLORIDA!!!! Jacksonville to be exact.
grandma replied: Nice! No wonder everyone from here retires there...
stella6979 replied: I know what you mean! I don't mind a day or two of cold weather every now and then but come January I'm so ready for Spring!! I LOVE the rain!!!
A&A'smommy replied: OMG THATS COLD!!!!
here in Daphne its (or point clear if you want to get technical) 50 degrees at home its 46
punkeemunkee'smom replied: We are getting it too Aimee! It was in the 80*s last week. Taylor was insisting we could go swimming! Now it is supposed to be highs in the 40*s and 50*s Lows in the low 30*s Of course it will be back up in the 70*s next week-and we wonder why everyone in this state has a runny nose
ETA~ Mollie I truly think I would freeze to death! We have theories about our blood thinning to tolerate the heat down here so we don't do well in cold!
5littleladies replied: You might be surprised at how quickly a person's blood can thicken up. We have a friend who moved here from Florida last summer and for the first few weeks of autumn/winter he didn't do too well, but now he can tolerate it better than most of us locals. He runs around outside in a t-shirt when it is 10 degrees out!
Maddie&EthansMom replied: I wondered about that. In the spring when it hits 60 we are in shorts, but in the fall when it hits 60 we are wearing sweaters. I think it must be the drastic change in temps. I could probably get used to 40 if it would stay 40 long enough.
mommy~to~a~bunch replied: My blood is as thick as molasses! It's not that bad; I might put gloves on when I go outside, but no hat. I HATE hats & scarves too.
grapfruit replied: Oh see opposite here. I HATE gloves but hats and scarves? Count me in!
5littleladies replied: I don't like hats either. Scarves I don't mind though. I could go out in a scarf and mittens (don't like gloves!) with no coat and be fine for quite awhile.
Calimama replied: Yikes, I couldn't handle it. I freeze at 60 degrees.
grapfruit replied: You guys are about to blow off the map today right? I heard gusts up to 80 MPH!
Calimama replied: I haven't been outside yet. The ocean looks pretty calm and the palms aren't blowing TOO bad, so the wind must not be THAT bad ( well what I can see from my window). I don't know, maybe it's worse inland.
grapfruit replied:
Hey I left you a picture in another post about cameras I think it was started by Sewingmama
Calimama replied: Watch, because I said that I'm going to go outside and it's going to be CRAZY!! Anyway.. I'll go find them..
