Brianne's hair post got me thinking

MyBrownEyedBoy wrote: What did your hair look like when you had your first child and what does it look like now?
I had mine in a short chin lenght bob. Like this.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Now it looks like this, see my siggy. And Aaron doesn't want me to cut it.

CantWait replied: I really like your hair now much better. Mine is pretty much the same way. I'll post pics later.

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Mine was sholder-sholder blade length when I had both of the kids. It was super easy when I was in labor I just parted it and did french braid pig tails and my hair didn't do anything on me. Now it is short and cute...Actually styled smile.gif
The biggest fear I have with my hair now is that I have to spend the 10-15 minutes doing my hair and that will be difficult w/ a new born.
I can't find any pictures where you can really see my hair but this is the best I can do. It was taken when Matt was a couple hours old and Katy came to meet him

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: I also just searched for a non horrendous picture of me now...I can't find any! I do however love my hair now as do most other people who have seen it.

C&K*s Mommie replied: When I had Christian it was short in a bob style too. When I had Kellie I had it just past my shoulders. It is longer now, and all off- black (not jet-black). It was a variety of shades in my siggy pic, though. Just about every 3 months or so, I feel the urge to change looks, so in another month it will probably be curly, instead of straight. rolling_smile.gif

CAMSMOM1 replied: Oh I get CRAZY when it comes to my hair styles!! Seriously, I have had my hair every color you could imagine, but I've never tried black yet.

I just love experiment with my hair, and trying new cuts and colors. My hair grows so fast, so if I don't like it, it'll grow back. It always makes me feel better doing something different all the time. It's fun!

When I had Cameron my hair was really long, and brown...because I couldn't dye it. As soon as I had him, I went back to blonde with highlights.

Last week I got tired of being blonde, so I dyed it DARK BROWN, and it's shoulder lenght in layers, choppy. I really like it!

It took my DH awhile to get used to it, noooooo.gif But now he loves it, because it brings out my green eyes.

I"m in the process of getting pictures put on my siggy. Alyssa's Mommy, Jessy Ann, is helping me out with my pictures. So hopefully soon you can see what I look like, and my hair!

Kelly, I really like the way your hair looks now. I love the color and the lenght. Have you thought about putting layers in it, and maybe some more blonde highlights? I don't know, that's what's "in style" right now in California. But if I were you, I'd keep your hair about the same length, but you can experiment with different styles and color!

But of course, this is coming from me, and I'm obcessed with changing the color of my hair! silly.gif Maybe just try a sem-permant color, or just put a couple layers in to start off with, so it's not so dramatic.

Ann

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I totally need a trim right now. There are very long layers in it, but I am considering dying it a caramel color. I used to dye my hair all the time, but I have been lax about it lately. And I need to change something.

CAMSMOM1 replied:

GO FOR IT KELLY! cheerleader.gif

I think your hair would look awesome caramel, maybe add some blonde highlights through out. Can you tell I'm obsessed with highlights! I think you would look great with some tapered layers in the front of your face....having the layers frame your face. That was my favorite hair style yet, it really looks good, it frames the face and adds some body. Ask the hairstylist to use a razor, it gives your hair texture and body. Have him razor the edges or tips of your hair, and it will make your hair flip up on the ends, without having to use a curling iron.

Just my 2cents.gif But I say go for it, look in the magazines and find a hair style and color that you like, and give that to your stylist. Let us know how your hair turns out!

MamaJAM replied: I love long hair - always have. Growing up - my mother forced me to keep my hair cut _very_ short (some dip told my mother that keeping my hair short would make it thicker...didn't work).
As a teen - I let it grow....and grow.

When DH and I married and DD#1 was born - my hair was down to about my shoulderblades. One day when DD#1 was 3 years old - I suddenly decided I wanted my hair short and ran out to get it chopped -- then, 2 days later discovered I was pregnant. Darn hormones! My hair took forever to grow back....I promised myself that if I ever got the urge to cut my hair short again - I'd take a pregnancy test before heading to the hair salon....and actually needed to do that twice blush.gif (both times the tests were positive....and I didn't give in to the impulse).
Right now my hair is just about down to my butt -- and I plan to keep it this length or longer forever.

PhiMuMommy replied: my hair was waist length and now it is layered ending in the middle of my back...

coasterqueen replied: I pretty much haven't changed my hair since early 90's. blush.gif Always keep it just below my shoulders or longer with either no layers or layers and no bangs. My hair was the same when I was pg with Kylie and Megan as it is now, except I think it might be an inch shorter now and shorter layers, that's about it. Oh and I had it colored darker the other day.

My2Beauties replied: My hair was long and very very blonde. I dyed it myself, so it always looked brassy, and roots honey - oh they were awful by the time I gave birth.

Now it's a little shorter with blonde highlights and dark brown chunks and the underneath is dark brown as well. It's multi-colored. I am thinking about adding some red next time unsure.gif

kimberley replied: my hair hasn't really changed much blush.gif. i have always had long hair but it was all one length until i had Jade. then i did long layers lol. i know, not much of a stretch but i can't bear to cut it. happy.gif

5littleladies replied: My hair was long with bangs when I had Madeline (almost 8 years ago ohmy.gif ) and now it's just below my shoulders and no bangs. I'll try and post pictures later, but I have to scan one in so I might not get around to it for a bit. rolleyes.gif

MommyToAshley replied: My hair was really long when I was PG and Ashley was born. Then, I chopped it off in a bob... and donated the cut hair to Locks of Love. I hated the new cut. I didn't mind the length, Ijust didn't like the cut on me. I needed layers or something. So, I got my hair layered and just this past September I got it permed. I know straight is in, but I don't look good with straight hair. Now it needs another trim. wacko.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: I had mid-back (the longest I can grow) straight hair when pg with Brooke and until she was born. I cut it to just above my shoulders when she was born, then grew it back out, then chopped it VERY short when Madison was born. It is now shoulder length and layered as I grow it back out...

Kaitlin'smom replied: mine was long and all blond with bad roots when I had Kait, now its dark underneath, blond on top with some nice lowlights. I am really loving the color more now, and just below sholders with long layers, no bangs.
