Book Club Meeting - input please
TANNER'S MOM wrote: Ok While looking on line, I know realize that the book we choose is any in hard back. They do have it on Amazon (56 of them) for 11.95 plus shipping.
Now I am sure for some that is pricey? So let me know with a yay or nay. And we can choose another book, and look for one that came out in paperback. We may need to wait until we can go browze Barnes and Noble or something to look at paperbacks this weekend?
Let me know please what you want to do. It's up to you!
mammag replied: I would be okay with it but I'm thinking more people might participate if we go with something on paperback.
kimberley replied: definitely paperback. even better would be something i could get at the library!
TANNER'S MOM replied: Ok, this weekend I will go to Barnes and Noble or maybe Wal- Mart and report my findings back by Monday at least...
Anyone else's input will be helpful too!
coasterqueen replied: What's the book?
While I prefer paperback for the expense if a book that would be really good only came in hardback, I'd be willing.
I would get mine at the library but I live outside the city limits so the cost to use the library is OUTRAGEOUS!!!! And the nearest library that doesn't cost me anything is 30 minutes away.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I prefer Hardback myself, trying to build a collection so I dont care as long as its not scarey (I dont want have to keep it in the freezer )
kimberley replied: HAHAHAHAHAHA! that is soooooo something i would do! i am not into horror either!
MomofJandB replied: I would also prefer paperback. As for input...I'm only familiar with books I've already read! LOL! I usually end up reading books friends give me when they are done. I've got Nora Roberts "Born O'Hurley" and Nicholas Sparks "The Rescue" sitting here that I havent read. I'm open to new authors! Wish I could offer more!
TANNER'S MOM replied: Ok we are half and half for paperback and hard back..Help! Not sure what to do!
Help! You guys call. We can stick with the original choice of 5 people you meet in heaven? Let me know so I can order it tomorrow!
Kaitlin'smom replied: can we find a book that is out in both? that way who ever wants hardback can who ever wants softback can?
MomofJandB replied: There are a few copies for sale on Ebay from $3 and up plus the added cost of shipping of The Five People You Meet in Heaven. Just a thought for those who don't want to pay the hardback price! I mentioned that I would rather have paperback but am not against hardback as the price is reasonable. This sounds like a good book...I'll probably read it anyway even if we don't use it for our first book!
maybe we should take a poll on the book, yes or no to make a decision. I have no idea how to set up a poll LOL. What do you think?
Jamison'smama replied: The second selection "Wicked" is out on paperback---maybe you could do 2 books or start with that one if hardbacks are a problem--I know I prefer paperbacks unless I know I want to keep a book--I usually read books then give them away since I read so many.
I have Wicked on my nightstand waiting to be read so of course I would vote for that one
amymom replied: The five people you meet in heaven is a great book. I highly recommend it. It is available at most libraries.
Boys r us replied: Ahh I LOVED that book(the 5 people you meet in heaven) I've already read it, so I can participate without having to even read..whew hew LOL
