Bleeding/Cramping during week 4. Is there any hop

kersteegirl620 wrote: I took a pregnancy test on Wednesday May 31st and it was positive. Then yesterday, June 3rd, I started bleeding. I had already been having light cramping for a week before I found out I was pregnant and hasn't stopped since. I got really upset when I started bleeding and had my husband go buy me another pregnancy test. This one was also positive. My husband wanted me to go into the emergency room and they did a blood test and the blood test was positive for pregnancy. They checked to make sure it's not a ectopic pregnancy which the doctor said it doesn't look that way. They sent me home and said to see my doctor on Monday to have my levels checked again. Then last night I started cramping a little more and was bleeding like a normal period. Now, I feel like I'm just having a normal period. Same amount of blood and same amount of cramping that I usually have. Has anyone ever experienced this and carried their baby all the way? I just want to know if there is any hope of keeping this pregnancy. Oh, and my guesstimate is that I'm about 4 weeks along.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: A little light bleeding at the beginning is normal...it's typically implantation bleeding. But since you're having cramps and heavier period like bleeding, I would say get into your OB to get checked ASAP. hug.gif

MyLuvBugs replied: Definately get to the DR. ASAP for an Ultra Sound! hug.gif hug.gif

They did do an ultrasound at the hospital and they couldn't see anything because it's so early. They also did the one from inside and they didn't show it being an ectopic pregnancy. Pretty much I just have to wait until I have the blood test tomorrow to see if my levels are rising, but I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this before and still had a normal pregnancy. This pregnancy was a surprise but my husband and I were really excited and it's just hard to have it taken away sad.gif

ashtonsmama replied: I'm so sorry sweetie. I don't know what to say, except I'll be praying for you while you wait. Hope this baby sticks hun!

Thank you for all of your support. I went to the doctor this morning. They took blood and now I am waiting for them to call with the results. I keep going through many emotions.. trying to prepare my self for the worst, but still trying to have some hope. I keep going back and forth. This is really hard sad.gif

ashtonsmama replied:
Good luck!

~~*Missi*~~ replied: Good luck i have been there i miscarried at 12 week and 10weeks. One pregnancy was a singleton we nicknamed sprout and then twins. Its horrible.
I had NO signs of problems. I went in with sprout for a routine check and they couldn't find a heart beat... The twins I had bleeding but showed no signs of problems otherwise. Then fate would have it both passed.....

I hope HOPE HOPE that YOU are not having this situation. I am not a doctor but if its heavier (red) blood its USually not a good sign.

If you need to talk PM me or just post and we all will be here for you
Praying for you and your baby

I got the results of the blood test and it looks like I had a miscarriage. My hormone levels were 38 on Saturday and then yesterday they were 9. I spent most of the day crying, but I feel better today. We are just going to try again... hopefully I will be pregnant again soon smile.gif

MyBabeMaddie replied: I'm really sorry to hear about that. I'll send a prayer your way.
