MyLuvBugs replied: A couple of my friends have gotten PG while ON birth control. One on the pill, and the other was on depoprovera (sp?). My personal experience....well, I went off the pill the month after we got married, so July, and didn't get PG until the following March....so, 8 1/2 months approx.

I think it just depends on how fast your hormones even out.

Mommy2Isabella replied: When I found out I wouldn't be able to have children due to PCOS and Amenorea they put me on birth control to control my acne. I did some research and they say when going off birth control, that it COULD stay in your system for up to 6 months after .. or less ...

Jackie012007 replied: I got pregnant while on Yasmin... was on it for 3 years straight. I actually was still taking it while I was pregnant, because I didn't know until after the first month and a half!

Jackie012007 replied: apparently Yasmin is notorious for pregnancy during use... I felt dumb mentioning it to my OB when I found out I was pregnant, but man I felt like the second immaculate conception! (we double up on BC)... but the NP told me that they were finding more and more women who become pregnant even when using Yasmin religiously... gee... wish they had found that out and TOLD US YASMIN USERS!!!

I actually know 2 other girls (friends of mine) who have had "Yasmin babies"... BEWARE!!!

Mommy2Isabella replied: Me too ... I had been taking the BC for about 3 years also, and I NEVER missed a pill, mine was to control acne because "i couldn't get pregnant" so ... I didn't want zits so I took it RELIGIOUSLY ... and here I am 35 weeks pregnant

I got pregnant this time around while on the pill but was late taking a couple and had to catch up. I was going to try the Yasmin brand after this baby but I won't now that you have said this. Thanks for the info!

Boo&BugsMom replied: I have heard a lot of other horrible things about Yasmin too. It is linked to blood clots leading to the heart and other crazy stuff. I haven't read too many good things about it.

I was on Ortho-Tricyclyn too before Tanner was conceived. I liked that one, I was just always bad at remembering to take the darn thing. I switched then to the patch after he was born, which I then heard horrible things about that one. I guess there are going to be risks with which ever one you take, but I don't like reading and hearing about the bad things that a perscription I am taking can cause...kind of freaky. Up until 2 months ago I was on Seasonale. I am now waiting to hear the horrible risks of that one too...I'll never win. I guess I am just not made to take BC. After our next one, hubby is getting fixed anyways. I did like the way Ortho kept my skin clear though. I never got any pimples while on it, or rarely did anyway.

Jessica, you have a miracle baby on your hands if you weren't even suppose to be able to conceive! That's so precious!

My3LilMonkeys replied: I got PG immediately after going off my BCP. My Dr. had told us to give it 3 months for my cycle to regulate and we wanted to start trying in Nov so I went off the pills Aug. 1 and we conceived Madison 2 weeks later.
