Big differences in your children's looks?

Both DH and I are dark hair/brown eyes but I have fair skin and he's more olive toned. K got her blue eyes from my mom's side of the family somehow.

I just never expected such big differences. Lauren still looks a lot like Katherine did at this age, except for the eyes though.

the baby looks just like her daddy, big brown eyes, but her hair is light her daddys is dark.
As babies there are similar looks about them.

Its funny, sometimes siblings are totally diff sometimes the same...

MomToMany replied: Yep, the wonder of genetics!! Logan is a dark blonde, and has one blue eye, and one green eye. Quentin is dark, with green eyes. Ethan is a dark blonde with green eyes. Hannah is my blue-eyed, blonde haired beauty too. And Kayla has blue eyes, and it looks like she will get my red hair when it finally starts growing .

It's amazing how different each child can be from the same parents!

I have friend who is one of 5 girls and NONE of them resemble each other. I have seen them all in person at family functions and it truly is amazing how much they don't look alike. I guess they used to get loads of milkman jokes growing up! Genetics is a funny thing, eh?

Maddie&EthansMom replied: Maddie looks EXACTLY like me. She has olive skin and big brown eyes and dark blonde hair. Ethan (from what I can tell) has blonde hair, he did get my olive skin although he is more fair complected than Maddie. And I think his eyes will be hazel like his daddy's. He looks EXACTLY like his daddy. To me my kids look nothing alike. Some people can see the similarity in pictures, though.

iluvmysweetiepies replied: Over here too. Ariana looks a lot different from her sisters because she has her daddy's brown hair and eyes and a bit darker skin. DH's sister has twin girls who are 5 and they are total opposites in their looks! They also have a younger daughter who is 3 and she and one of the girls look more like twins than the actual twins I also have a friend with 4 girls and the oldest looks nothing like her siblings but the younger three are splitting images of each other!!

Bailey is petite with light brown hair (was black when she was born) and huge light blue eyes.

Kiera is chunky with almost no hair (what she does have is dark blonde) and hazel eyes.

And as the blonde daughter of two tan, dark-haired, dark-eyed parents - I got a TON of milkman jokes growing up....

booey2 replied: Most of you have seen pics of us and the boys are definitely split between the two of us. Matthew like his dad and Thomas like me.

coasterqueen replied: I know I'm getting so anxious and excited to see what Megan looks like. My sister and I looked like twins when we were little but as we grew older we look nothing alike. I keep wondering if Megan and Kylie will look alike or what. Will Megan get DH's white blond hair he had as a child? Just so many questions. Now you are making me excited.

mammag replied: My middle two (Cade & Conner) look a lot alike. Especially as babies except Cade got curley hair and Conner's is straight as could be. They both are dark like Daddy with really dark brown eyes. Kristen and Keegan however are light like me. Kristen had blue eyes until she was almost 1 and they changed to green and now they are a golden color. Keegan's eyes are blue right now and I'm hoping he can keep them but......who knows.

Kristen's friend thought maybe I had been married before and had Kristen from another husband because she doesn't look Filipino like her 2 brothers.

Josie83 replied: Well I only have one and I am always told that she looks a lot like me. I have two brothers and two sisters - my older sister and brothers all look alike and my younger sister and I often get mistaken for twins. Its weird how it works! xx

Funny about the mongolian spot... do you have Italian blood in you? That's the closest thing I can think of that would give her something like that. Sophia's cleared up by the time she was 4 months old.

Kathleen has jet black hair, a ton of it, none of which has fallen out yet and more keeps comming. and bright blue eyes, that i think are gonna stay blue (dark hair and blue eyes like Dennis) but looks liek me.. strange huh? also sometimes she looks exactally like Cameron.

My daughter has daddys red hair (people always think she's my niece or something ) and everyone says she looks like my mom and Ty has dark blonde hair like me and looks nothing like Chloe!!!!

When me and my SIL were expecting everyone thought the babies would look alike b/c she is together with my brother and I married her brother....I know it sounds weird it's still funny to me But our boys look nothing alike!!!

I want another baby of course and I'm curious to see what that baby is going to look like. I am the first of three myself and we are all very different people. There are a few resemblances, but otherwise we all look different. I have the brown wavy hair and hazel eyes. I have an olive tone to my skin, but I'm pretty fair. My brother Billy has that dark Italian skin and brown eyes. His hair has the less curls. Then Steve well he's blond hair and blue eyed. He was the butt of many jokes as we were growing up. Both of my parents have dark hair and dark eyes. He has my grandmother's coloring, in fact I beginning to believe that is where Jade got hers. Zack does have blond hair and blue eyes, but the blue is different then hers. Steve has the curliest hair. It's kind of funny that we all have a degree of curls starting from very little to a lot. I think it's really cool. I have a friend who has two sons. The first one has blond hair and blueish- green eyes, the second has dark hair and dark eyes. Genetics can be so cool.
