Big Brother 8? - Anyone watch? MAY BE SPOILERS

Anyone else watch the Big Brother After Dark on Showtime? There's some interesting stuff on it, but it seems like you have to sit through a lot of boring to get to it. That and I'm undecided on whether I like knowing the outcome of the contests before we see them (On Friday last week I knew who was the veto holder from watching that) - it seems to kind of make watching the actual contests less interesting.

I don't know who I'd vote though. I haven't really made much of an opinion of Carol, but there's something about Amber (maybe her constant crying and tearing ) that I don't like.

We saw the first episode - totally missed the second and then DVRd last nites DH was out of town last nite so we will watch it later tonite - don't really have a handle on it all yet since it is soo early but I think the two ex-boyfriends are going to be quite a source of entertainment this season

I do have to add though that there isn't too much good eye candy this season - most of the guys are pretty dorky looking

I'm not attached to any of them yet, but there are a few I would like to see go first, starting with Jen and Jessica.

I like that "america's Player" idea. I think that he won't be able to play very long that way tho, and won't make it to the end.

Jamison'smama replied: As much as I dislike Kail, I think I dislike Nick even more. I have the BB after dark and watching that, Nick is crude and a bully. The way he spoke to Jen (even though she is a ding dong) was horrible, he (and Dick) said some threatening, degrading and disrespectful things.

I was in total shock when he did that to her and she did nothing. I gave him kudos for doing it but that was really so wrong on many levels. That's like assault and she could have probably made a big deal about it. That wasn't cool but my inner E.D. was applauding.

He is in a totally unfair place, playing the game the best he can, with his vote not counting at all, and not being able to explain himself. How frustrating. I would hate to see him go, but I don't really know how he is going to get out of this one.

I did not see the first show (only part of it on YouTube last night). What would happen to Eric if he decides to go it alone? Will the show evict him?

And to save E.D. just a little (but not making excuses for his rude mouth and behaviour) he cannot be faulted for realizing that something is not right about Eric and calling him out. He does not know about AP only that Eric is full of something.

E.D. cusses her out all the time (or at least that is what they show us) but I've watched after hours shows on YouTube and they have alot of private chats alone. Civil chats. The other night E.D. told her they would work together better then work against each other. She was playing with her hair. He was still very blunt and told her that he thought she was a spoiled b*tch but he was really nice to her (in an E.D kind of way). Not only that she follows him around all the time. If you hate someone and they talk to you like trash why would you be where that person is all the time? Why would she not avoid him? Something is going on there.

Plus, he makes $10.000 every time he completes a task for AP, so He is probably going to make more $ that way than playing the game anyway.

I'm not. I think it sucky how people are blaming Danielle for her fathers actions. I've only seen her be snippy with Jen 2x and that is because Jen has deserved it. She has not been nasty to anyone else in the house yet people are telling her that her dads actions reflect on her. That's just ignorant if you ask me.

E.D. does not let things go and that is a little but at the same time that is his personality. If I were in the house I would want him out and fast because he would drive me nuts but as a watcher and not a player I like him in there.

D. will think of himself when he finds out that Eric wasn't doing his own bidding, only covering himself for being AP. My guess is he'll pat himself on the back and go out the door next week. Why? Because he'll be so proud of himself for rooting out that something was wrong with Eric's play that he'll forget that the other people in the house like Eric and, I believe, will see humor in the twist and not hold Eric personally accountable. E. D. won't be able to understand that and will gloat, thereby incurring the ire of the house as a whole.

So, the two loudest players in the house should be gone in the next couple of episodes. Wouldn't it be sick if Zac won?

No, E.D. has not run out of smokes. Big Brother replaced all the ones that Jen destroyed and even gave him more.

Do you think he is really that awful IRL? I have to say overall though this season isn't as fun - maybe the whole thing is just getting old....

PrairieMom replied: I think a lot of it is an act, but, He can't be that good of a guy to be able to come up with some of that stuff, he is just to good at it. Plus, there is the whole not speaking to his daughter thing. Personally, I don't like the guy, even tho, he makes good TV

Well, you really have to consider all the editing that goes into that. The real story is that Jen was upset for being put up and instigated the entire thing. E.D. was outside with the others minding his own business. Then Jen started smacking at him while he was smoking and then accused him of burning her. She was standing over him and he was trying to get her away. She's been a spastic the last week. I know E.D. has a mouth but this week it was really her. Watching the show on t.v. though I just can't believe the editing.


It was really funny when Jen was destroying his cigs and BB is saying "Jen, please come to the diary room." She would say, "Just a second I'm almost done." And the would say it louder, "JEN PLEASE come to the diary room."

Crystalina replied: And also on the live feeds you can see how hard he tries to mend things with Danielle and she's so b*tchy and mean to him. Whenever he says something that she does not like she says, "Father of the year!". Ugh! At least he's trying! I can't tell you how many time he's told her he really wants to get help for their relationship when they get out and she just stomps away and says she doesn't want to talk about it. He also talks about the numerous times he's tried to contact her over the years and she does not call him back. Apparently she also does not have a relationship with her brother, mother, grandfather...basically the entire family. E.D. mentioned that there was a pattern and she he wanted to know why and she threw that "Here comes father of the year" crap at him again. I'm really starting to wonder who's to blame for their relationship going south.

lisar replied: Oh yes Jen and ED this week. I loved it. Made great TV, I have to say for me though this has been the best one I have watched yet. More entertaining than the rest of them. Especially with ED in the house. And I was wondering the same thing about ED and danielle on whos to blame.

Our Lil' Family replied: Yes I was glued to the feed recaps all week! Jen really did give up and totally lost it but I'm happy to see her go.

Jess won't nominate Danielle...she and Eric have a deal with D&D. She'll nominate Zach and Amber....or put up someone else w/Amber and try to back door Zach...although he never wins so that wouldn't' be necessary.
