Belly size??

Gigi80 wrote: hi girls! im due december 22nd...they keep switching my due date around, but that seems to be the day so far!

i am just wondering..does anyone seem like their belly isnt big enough yet?? when i tell people i am almost 7 months, they look soooo suprised..it gets me worried, but the doc says cuz im natrually skinny i wont be that big....but it still gets me nervous that my lil boy isnt big enough....

anyone going/went thru this??

mom2my2cuties replied: I would say - if your doctor isn't worried then to heck with what everyone else says smile.gif

Most people have these mental images of REALLY huge pregnant women and the truth of the matter is - not everyone gets really huge smile.gif

My3LilMonkeys replied: As long as your Dr. isn't worried, I say you shouldn't worry. My mom had a friend who was almost 8 months PG before she even *knew* she was PG - she hardly showed at all, just looked like she had gained a few lbs.

ediep replied: I am due Dec 1 and I am always told that I'm small.

As a matter of fact, someone told me today, that they didn't even know I was pregnant!! Now, thats a strech, because its very obvious, but I was sitting so I guess that whwy he didn't notice

my doc did tell me that i am measuring a little small, but with a sono they determined that the baby is growing fine and maybe she''ll just be petite. (I am only 5 feet tall and DH is about 5"7' or so)

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I would count yourself lucky. But then, you still have 2 months. And those last two months are when my belly really got big.

mckayleesmom replied: Don't worry...I didn't show till I was 8 months...I wore my jeans till 7 months.....and then the last 2 I ballooned. rolling_smile.gif

MyLuvBugs replied: LOL laugh.gif A friend of mine from High School was just like you. "Naturally Skinny" rolleyes.gif She was always the girl that was trying to GAIN weight unstead of loose it and still had trouble getting up to 105 lbs. rolleyes.gif Loved her, but hated her. KWIM? laugh.gif Her first baby she was saying the same thing you are..."I'm too skinny" or "Do I look 7,8,9 months to you?" However, she ended up having a 9 lbs little girl. rolleyes.gif She was litterally ALL BABY in the front, and you never would have guessed there was a 9 pounder in her. rolleyes.gif

I say, so long as your dr. isn't worried, then you shouldn't be either. It's not the size of the baby that matters in the end anyway. It's the baby's health. So long as you have a healthy little boy, that's all that matters. hug.gif

CantWait replied: I went through nearly my whole pregnancy without people knowing I was pregnant. Feel lucky.

ashtonsmama replied: Especially when it's your first baby, you tend to be a tad smaller, from my experience...

You're fine!

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Nah... at 9 months, I as smaller than a 6 month preggers. If you do a search for my belly pics... you'll see.

My2Beauties replied: Nah I was small when I was preggo too. I only gained 35 pounds and I was all belly, most of my weight gain was the last 2 months too. At 7 months I really just wasn't that big, people thought I was only 4-5 months along maybe. Now this time around, that's a whole 'nother story, I'm already pooching and I'm only 8 weeks. blink.gif

MissyKay2005 replied: I would not worry about hon! Every women carries differently so you should no compare yourself to others. It all depends on your frame. biggrin.gif

I am the opposite! When I tell people how far I am, I am going on 6 months, they ask if I am having twins. I have a smal frame so the baby sticks out more I guess. I look like I am about 8 months along. It has nothing to do with what the baby's size will be. My friend carried very tiny. She hardly looked pregnant until her ninth month and she had a 10 pound baby. laugh.gif

Gigi80 replied: thanks for all your replies! they made me feel alot better....i dont really care how big i get as long as he is healthy and strong:)
