Bathrooms.. what number is enough - Everyone please help me...lol

luvbug00 replied: We had 1 full and one shower w/toilet in the apartment and I liked that amount .. ALTHOUGH here at my parents there are 2 full and 2 half bathrooms. My favorite thing is the one we share with my brother has 2 sinks one for each of us and I'd love to get a house with that so I don't have to share a sink with Brad. 
ammommy replied: We have 2.5 which works out fine so far. However, in a couple of years when I have to get myself and 2 kids out the door at the same time DH leaves for work, I think another would be nice. Actually, just a dressing area in our bedroom outside the bath would help. We had that at our last house and it was great. One person could be taking a shower while another one or two could be getting ready.
kit_kats_mom replied: We have two full baths and that is fine right now. Maybe three when the girls get older. DH has a stink issue so I'd love it if we could put his toilet in a closet somewhere...away from the house...an outhouse...yeah baby! LOL
My2Beauties replied: We just have one small full size bath, I hate it! It's in the middle of the house and you have to walk through Hanna's room to get to it! It's really small so when we're all trying to get ready it makes for no fun.

We really have no good place to put the litter box.  But soon, that will be the kids bathroom and the one in my room will be mine and mine only!  Wonder where James will go ... 
MomToMany replied: We have 2 full baths for our family of 7. DH & I are the only ones who use the master bath, so the kids pretty much have the other one to themselves. This is fine for us; wouldn't want any more.
punkeemunkee'smom replied: We have 2,the master bath has 2 sinks-we still pretty much only use one  And the "guest" bath although we really don't have many guests-Tay calls it daddy's bathroom because he uses it if he comes in late to shower so he doesn't wake us up! When we built our house we will have one of those HUGE showers-we both want one! Lol!
coasterqueen replied: We have 2 full baths upstairs, one is the master bath and the other is the kid's/guests. Then downstairs we have a full bath. So we have 3, which is perfect now, but ideally with two girls a second kid's bathroom upstairs would be great!

I love our bathroom in our bedroom its split on one side is the door with toilet and shower the other side has the sink and vanity, so we both can be getting ready with no problem. I woudl like to have 2.5 or 3 full in the future, one for us, one for her and one for guest.

But I do love having my own sink.. and my own side even though my things do take over everything. I have to clean the bathroom counter once a week.
And then the girls have a bathroom.. and the hall toilet.. and tiny sink.
In my room as a kid.. I had a just a sink and large dressing mirror and I loved it!! It really made things awesome .. and so easy to use. I could do my hair in the bedroom.. and never was in the bathroom much.. that is a good idea.
What about apartments. Do they usually have one or 2 baths?
JAYMESMOM replied: We have one bathroom and it isn't that big. There are 3 adults and 2 kids - one which is potty training so it can make for some interesting times. LOL 
I would love to have 3 - one full masterbath with 2 sinks and 2 full one for the kids and one for guests.
I just want my own space to go but I don't see that happening as we have no where to put anything in my teeny house.

I love the big showers that have the little sit down place in the corners. Ours in the Master Bath does.. and let me tell you it is so easy to shave. I can't hardly shave in the kids stand up ...ololol

Nathansmom replied: Our apartment just has one small full bath, and it's not enough. I always end up having to use it when DH is in there, and once Nathan starts to potty train, we're going to be in trouble!
jem0622 replied: We have 3 full baths and one powder room. One bath has a toilet, sink, and stall shower. Another has a tub/shower combo and toilet and sink. The master has a double sink, soaking tub, and stall shower w/ separate toilet closet. They ALL come in handy! I have a feeling that the boys will share a bathroom (likely the basement) and the girls will share a bathroom (likely the hallway one upstairs) and DH and me will use the master. That would be enough for us!
MommyToAshley replied: We have 2.5 baths. The two full baths are upstairs and the half bath is downstairs. There's just the three of us here, and sometimes I still have to run downstairs when I have to go pee.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: We have 3.5 which is a big difference coming from our last home with just one. And surprisingly our mortgage is actually lower at this new house!!! There are only two of us using them now since Wil is still in diapers. But it's nice having the extras for guests. I just hate to clean them!!!
I guess I have what I need. One for Dh and I, one for Wil and baby, one full for guests and the half for short visit guests. I have a friend who has 6 and it's only her and DH!!!  If I had that many, I would hope for a maid!

My2Beauties replied: My dream bath would look like one of those they do on Extreme Home Makeover Edition  I would have either a jacuzzi tub or one of those overflowing tubs with a seperate shower with 2 nozzles  ! I would have at least 4 full baths in my dream home, one in the master bedroom, one in the hallway for guests, one for each girl in her bedroom and then a half maybe on another floor This is my dream home though, or I could have it to where the girls have one bathroom that meets inbetween both of their rooms!  A girl can dream can't she? When we buy a house I want minimum 2 full baths though, I won't buy a house with just one bathroom!

We have a full bathroom upstairs that is the kids/ SIL's bathroom. In our master suite (DH and I's) that's our bathroom and then our laundry room/bathroom is on the first floor as well....1/2 b-room though...just toilet and sink
My3LilMonkeys replied: We have 2 full bathrooms which is just right for us for now. 1 full (but small) bathroom in the hall by Brooke's room for guests (and will be the kid's bathroom) and a master bathroom for DH and I with a double sink and heart shaped jacuzzi tub with seperate shower. I love my bathroom!

Well, we currently live in an apartment and have 2 bathrooms. However, I grew up in a 3 bedroom home that had 3 full baths and 1 half bath. It was really nice, except when the ENTIRE family (50 folks) got together. 
Ideally...I'd like a 4 bedroom home with 3 full baths and 1 half bath like my parents (just an extra bedroom).
