Barbara Walters Reality Tv Show on Adoption

Can I ask why they are doing a reality show on this? I don't mean to offend anyone, but this is just disgusting! How horrible for that child, who'll know one day that he was given up for adoption on a reality show etc etc.

I'm just so sick of all these reality tv shows! Now I know why I try my hardest not to watch any of them. But I guess as long as they are popular, more and more shows like this will come about.

Yeah, I don't watch tv accept baseball and cartoon channels, so I am very out of tune with this stuff, but he told me about it this morning. So if anyone finds out any more let me know.

Just in case anyone was interested. I guess it's her Friday show that they are doing this on. Not a show by itself. But still! Grrr. Of course Barbara Walters wants to do a show like this, it's sweeps week and she'll get awesome ratings. Grrrr.

thats all i can say because of a load of foul language that keeps trying to make its way into my fingers and yet disgusting doesn't even seem to cover it.

i hate TV.

I don't understand what the world is coming to, why would they want to publicize something like this! It's just wrong. In time that poor baby will know that he was auctioned off (figure of speech) to the highest bidder in front of millions of people. How will this child feel? Did they consider the long term affects of a show like this? It's all about RATINGS and that just makes me sick!

coasterqueen replied: Thanks Julie. Geesh, this just makes me sick. This whole thing. It bothered me so much last night I about lost my dinner. I kept asking myself how could a mother give up her child like that in the manner which is is being done on national tv??? I'm all for adoption and think it's great, but it should be a personal, private, special thing, not broadcast on national tv. I feel so badly for the child, especially since now I see a picture of him. How could this mother agree? I'm just baffled.

These reality shows are getting worse everyday..like the new one 'the swan'...sheesh!
