Bangs or No Bangs?

MommyToAshley wrote: Ashley's bangs need trimmed. I would rather her not have bangs and let them grow out, but they are just too hard to keep out of her eyes. What are you doing and what do you think?

DansMom replied: Can you send me Ashley's bangs if you cut them? I want to glue them to Daniel's head laugh.gif

MommyToAshley replied:
rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif LOL! You are too funny!

Although I see by his avatar that he is getting more hair in.

jen replied: THAT IS TOO FUNNY!!!! Dan's MOM!!! LOL!!!

Maybe you can pin them back??? I have no idea! I think you should let it all grow out though, but you know little bangs would be darling too!

CantWait replied: No advice here. That's one of the reason's I'm scared of having a girl, I have no idea what to do with my own hair, nevermind a little girls. LOL rolling_smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied: i say go with your heart!!! biggrin.gif wub.gif

jcc64 replied: Dee Dee, I am forever asking the same thing. I've already taken Corey for a haircut once, but I also don't know what to do about the bang question. Once you make that commitment, it takes forever to grow them out, and it does seem like girls these days prefer not to wear bangs. But Corey won't let me put anything in her hair, and I think until she's a little older and I can reason with her, I will cut them. Boys are so much easier in this dept.

jcc64 replied: And another thing, I was just wondering Dee Dee. I was showing dh all the babies on the board, and he thought Ashley was adorable. He commented that she looks a little Amer-Asian, like our own (dh is Korean). Is she?

MommyToAshley replied:
Nope, but his mother is part Indian. I think she is 1/4 Indian. Ashley's eyes always look really dark in photos too, but they are actually a greenish, brownish color.

Thanks for the compliments. wub.gif

chloe&tysmommy replied: We have the same problem. But we decided to cut Chloes bangs b/c she hates to wear barrettes, so until she gets a little older we will continue to cut them.

MomToMany replied: I've been wondering the same thing, too, with Hannah. She doesn't have "bangs", but her hair on topis getting longer and almost to her eyes. I know she won't let me put any ponytails in it or anything like that.

I'm not cutting her hair, that's for sure! We'll just see how it goes, and maybe she will let me put things in her hair eventually.

Kaitlin'smom replied: well I have thougth about that also and I decided with Kaitlin's curly hair I am going to do my best not to cut bangs.

its really up to you, she will look adorable either way!

coasterqueen replied: I'm jealous. I wish Kylie had that problem laugh.gif She's finally starting to get a bit of hair on the top enough to do a tiny pig tail, but I don't think I'll have to worry about bangs for a long time. I know my SIL would barrette her dd's bangs back when she was trying to grow them out.

ediep replied: I think bangs are cute!!! (Although it is your decision.) It may be easier to grow them out when she is older and willing to wear barrettes or headbands

Maddie&EthansMom replied: She looks so cute with bangs! Obviously Maddie has bangs and I chose to keep hers b/c her hair is so fine and she has baby bangs underneath like I always had growing up. I never could grow my bangs out when I was a child. My hair was too stringy....Maddie's is the same way.

I think either way Ashley would be just as adorable.

kimberley replied: LOL Tracy ur funny! rolling_smile.gif

I think Ashley would look adorable with or without bangs or even bald for that matter because she is such a cutie pie!!! wub.gif lol, i know, i am no help. i would keep them a little while longer (because i have a baby hair cutting phobia lol ex buzzed the boys at 2 and 3yo ohmy.gif ) and wait and see if she will let you use clips or ties.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I think she would look cute either way. Does she allow you to put clips in her hair? If so then letting them grow out will not be a problem. In the process though be prepared to continully have to pull the hair back because it tends to fall out. Our neighbors have been growing their 2 year olds bangs out and it seem to be a constant battle. Jade doesn't have that problem yet. Her hair is filling in, but it's going to be a while before I will have to cut it. I was the same way, born bald and didn't have my hair cut until I was at least 2.

MommyToAshley replied: Sometimes, it depends on her mood. The problem is that the only clips/bows that stay in her hair are the really small ones. And, I am afraid to let her play by herself even for a few minutes with those in her hair because I think they are choking hazzards. SO, the only time she wears them is when I am watching her closely.

5littleladies replied: Brianna has bangs for now. She will let me put clips in her hair but it's so thin they keep falling out. Even with bangs she has hair in her face because I don't like to cut bangs to far back and since the hair on the top of her head hasn't grown all that long yet it is always falling in her face. wacko.gif

I agree with everyone else-Ashley will look adorable either way. Just do what you think is best. happy.gif

MomofTay&Sam replied: Ashley is a doll, maybe pin them back? I have boys which leads me to the next post!
