Bah Humbug!!

MyBrownEyedBoy wrote: I sent out over 40 cards this year. Sent out "we moved" emails with our new info. And we've gotten a grand total of 3 Christmas cards.

One from my sister.
One from the woman who cleans our house.
One from the vet's office.

Man, it's almost enough to regret all the postage and time.

Anthony275 replied: watch you get a ton of them this week tongue.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I'll be sure to let you know if I do. My faith in humankind will be restored.

moped replied: Well I JUST got your card and was so happy that you thought of me this year!!!! In my defense i don't usually send out cards, but am hoping to get a shot of Jack and Laila when she arrives.......so please don't be mad...... wub.gif

I was thrilled!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yep, I only received a couple too. My mailbox is usually flooded by now. dry.gif

MyBrownEyedBoy replied:
Jen, I didn't expect one from you. But some of my family members are usually much more on the ball.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: PM me your mailing address. I'm about to send mine out later this week. wink.gif

PrairieMom replied: I'm a counter too. I sent out 50, and so far we have received a grand total of 6. sleep.gif

Calimama replied: Maybe people are just late this year? I usually send them out but didn't this year. Life gets in the way. hug.gif

Twelve Volt Man replied: Remember, 'tis better to give, than to receive!

Anthony275 replied:
and some people dont think that over and just dont send any out at all, no giving

luvmykids replied: I sort of quit sending cards because we weren't getting many and I started to think maybe nobody does them anymore laugh.gif I got back in the game this year though. I hope yours start coming in, it's a really fun part of the season for me happy.gif

Cece00 replied: Personally it doesnt bother me not to get them. I like to send them a lot more biggrin.gif

Did you forward your mail from your old address? It could be ppl forgot & are still sending them to your old addy.

Kaitlin'smom replied: one more is on its way to you biggrin.gif I was just LATE getting them done and litterly just droped them in the box this morning.

I have done 24 of the 40 I need to so far. I have gotten 12 so far.

MyBrownEyedBoy replied:
Yeah, it's forwarded. Maybe that's part of the delay.

grapfruit replied: I sent out a bunch and we had only received 3. One from my aunt in NJ, who's always on the ball. One from our Mortgage lady emlaugh.gif and one from Tim's work emlaugh.gif

BUT yesterday 3 more showed up, so I felt like less of a loser. smile.gif

msoulz replied: WE usually receive a lot too and have not yet, but I just put mine in the mail yesterday although I am normally a week before Christmas kind of person when it comes to the cards. blush.gif I know around here (we live near Detroit) things have been pretty tough and it wouldn't surprise me if folks just aren't spending the money to send them. I'm OK with that! But as others have pointed out, your box will probably be flooded this week and next! thumb.gif

Maddie&EthansMom replied: The majority of our cards go out to Scotty's family in Mississippi. And they don't send Christmas cards, but they expect our card every year and will let you know if they didn't get it. blink.gif But, they are older and they don't see us very often. They know we always include a picture so they love that. It's such a payoff when we go down there in August and they still have our Christmas picture displayed on their fridge. wub.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: We got 2 so far. One from my best friend in Edmonton...the other from an anal friend here in town. emlaugh.gif
