Back from my appointment

I cried when we finally saw it I am so relieved that everything is going ok! Baby is measuring 8 weeks ~ the doctor said we won't change my due date since it's so close. (I'm 8 weeks 3 days today) I'm due February 13th.

I'm really excited for next month's appointment ~ the clinic got a new portable u/s machine but we didn't use it today because they haven't figured it out yet, so my doctor said that maybe next month we can squeeze in another peek and then she can print me a picture.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers! I don't think I'll be able to stop worrying completely but it really looks like this baby is going to stick.

I have actually thinking that maybe, just maybe this is a girl since I've been feeling more sick this time, but probably not. I would love to have a girl of course, especially since I really still feel like the baby I lost was a girl, but I think I'd be just as happy with another boy ~ although two boys that close together might be a bit of a handful.

Another reason for my m/s being worse this time might be because this time around I started getting bad heartburn and reflux right off the bat. When I got pg with Andrew my acid reflux was under control because of the meds I'd been taking, but I stopped taking them when we started ttc Andrew and haven't taken them at all since then, so it's been getting steadily worse and being pg again has made it awful - I can even feel my ulcer coming back. My doctor said that reflux can make your morning sickness worse, so that is probably it. After this baby is born I am getting back on something to make this problem go away!

Sorry! Seeing Katie there and of course our little Subway stop afterwords added about a half hour on. I was feeling pretty bad that we'd left mister grumpy pants with you since it was taking so long.
