Baby Wipes? - How Often
chloe wrote: Its probably a dumb question but should you use baby wipes every time your baby pee's
aspenblue1 replied: I use them everytime I changer her diaper. I do not know what you are supposed to do
MommyToAshley replied: Same here. I used the ones for sensitive skin and unscented. I figured they were gentle enough to use every time.
Jamison'smama replied: We use them every time as well.
mummy2girls replied: I Do but that is because jenna has allergic sensitive skin. She breaks out really easily
amynicole21 replied: I don't use them for every change, maybe only twice a day tops.
MilMunchMOM replied: Believe it or not? I asked the Ped this with Kari..about 2yrs ago.. He told me YES and firmly. He explained that the urine can harbour bacteria and such and should not be left on skin?!? So, I alternated between wipes and wash clothes with her.
Kaitlin'smom replied: I would say yes, altho I know I have missed one or two, here and there.
ediep replied: yup, we use them every time
coasterqueen replied: We use them every time. I would be afraid if I didn't that Kylie would get some yucky bacterial infection
kimberley replied: we use them every time too. except when she has a rash, then i just use warm wash cloths.
jcc64 replied: I really don't like baby wipes and only use them if I'm out. I prefer plain water and jumbo size cotton balls, and having used them with all 3 kids, have never once had a rash of any kind.
Julie (jem0622) replied: Only for poops here. And he gets a bath every night. If he has a diaper rash (maybe 3 at most) then paper towels and water only. Or if he has diarreah we do the same. They are so harsh on the skin.

mommytosammy replied: Yes I always use a baby wipe. I don't think my DH does. maybe i'll have to secretly watch him change sammy sometime
victoire2002 replied: We wash with plain water and sometimes a little soap (in the sink!) when we're at home. Aidan kept getting diaper rashes when we would use wipes that I decided to stop using them. I carry some with me in the car and in my bag for when we are out, though.
I tried the new lavender ones for our "to go" pack -- they smell really good. \

coasterqueen replied: It's weird because Kylie has never really had diaper rashes, maybe the occasional one when Dh leaves her in her diaper too long. Most of her diaper rashes were/are yeast diaper rashes We keep passing thrush back and forth while nursing. Grrr. Anyways, that's under control.
My post was meant to comment about the lavendar ones. I tried those with Kylie because I liked the smell of those and I ran out of her regular ones and they immediately broke her out in a rash.
We've only used J&J unscented baby wipes. The crappy thing about them is there is only one place in town that sell them, TRU.
My2Carebears replied: I use them everytime i change her. I have the sensitive ones or I use a wash cloth. Angel had many issues with Yeast Infectiions. So I had to switch to the sensitive wipes and she has been clear ever since!
