Babies favorite Music?

Jordon and Lisa wrote: I was wondering if anyone else's baby has a favorite CD/Song.

Parker simply adores Bob Marley. Discovering that (which I have to credit to my Step-Father) was a miracle.

A few times he was really pitching a fit, and I turned on Bob Marley's Legend and he literally went to sleep mid cry. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. I think it's the heart-beat style rhythm of Reggae that does it. If you've never tried it, and are looking for some "fuss busting" help, I HIGHLY recommend it. Of course, now I'm desperatly looking for other Reggae albums, as I have that one perpetually running through my brain. I use it now mainly to rock him to sleep at night, which works really well.

Kaitlin'smom replied: Well Kaitlin is not a baby anymore but Def leppard has always calmed her, now she has a couple favorites.

She listens to classical at night though

moped replied: Currently Jack loves Veggie Tales.............but he is just young, so I hoping to turn him onto Country!!!!!!

MommyToAshley replied: When Ashley was small, the song "Underneath It All" by No Doubt would calm her instantly. I think it was the same thing, the reggae style music sounds like a heart beat. She would actually stop mid-cry if we played it. When MIL babysat her for the first time, we had to include a copy of that CD in the diaper bag. rolling_smile.gif

She is two now and loves any and all music.

A&A'smommy replied: Alyssa doesn't have a favorite she LOVES ALL music, I always play music when she takes a nap and during the day if anything come on the tv or if I play something on the computer she tunes in and looks like she is in heaven! wub.gif

Jamison'smama replied: Other than the usual lullabye music--Jamison's strange "stop crying" music was Tom Petty Wildflowers--like others, this was discovered by accident in the car during a desperate moment--worked like a charm that time and several others--haven't discoverd Jack's music yet--I wish I would!!

Josie83 replied: Cassie loves music. She likes it all, she has a very eclectic taste (obviously influenced by mummy and daddy who listen to anything!). She loves indie music from her dad's collection like the Chilli Peppers and Oasis, and she absolutely loves heavy metal from her uncle Balise's house like Iron Maidenand AcDC which I find hilsrious! She listens to songs from musicals as well, but her absolute favourite is Frank Sinatra couresty of her granda. She LOVES him and always tries to get him put on! xx

loveydad replied: the twibbles love music. they like daddy to sing to them. I turn the radio on and it shuts em right up! Nicky's kinda indifferent but Andriana will dance when the tvs turned to cmt. FOr some reason the song "welcome to my life" makes Peter quiet.

texasp3 replied: Lately Gabriel has been drifting off to sleep to the sweet souds of Sting. laugh.gif Hey.. it works.

He's a country music dude too... works for busting the fussies in the car. DH is ready to throttle me! rolling_smile.gif We do NOT see eye to eye on the country music thing. It's my music of choice in the car and DH would rather listen to nails on a chalkboard. I am "polluting" his son. MUUAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

mammag replied: Keegan likes me to sing "At Last" to him.
It calms him right down when he's crying.

hotmommy818 replied: My son and I listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn in the car. He loves the soothing blues music and I love the guitar solos!

Abbie replied: MY DAUGHTER USED TO BE SOOTHED BY CLASSICAL MUSIC.

annafrombc replied: He falls asleep to a New Age CD I made with nature sounds etc, but the first song on that CD is "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" By George Michael and as soon as that some comes on, he yawns and knows its bedie bies!

His favorite song is ICE ICE BABY by Vanilla Ice (although he wont admit it) emlaugh.gif

MichaelsMommy replied: Michael likes the baby einstein type of music but more so he likes
to boogie to Louis Prima with us lol

Lollie replied: Hi Mommies... wavey.gif

Bri just loves the theme song to Spongebob Squarepants! She can listen to it over and over again! We have the video for her so we are sometimes forced to play it over about 10 times for her!!! rolling_smile.gif

She loves music in general...play it for her and she's sure to move her little body to the beat..LOL thumb.gif I think she takes after her mommy... wub.gif

Shaykinmom replied: My son loves Usher. When we are in the car if he get cranky I just slip in the CD and he will stop crying usually falling asleep. Wierd but this has been a mind saver for long rides.
