BAD BAD morning!!

Boys r us wrote: I went towork this morning and then around 10am I went to the bathroom. I wiped and there was blood on the TP. I of course FREAKED OUT. It wasn't bright red, but there was a TON of it! I was so scared. I got my boss out of a meeting bawling my eyes out and she helped me calm down and we called the doctor together and they told me to come in ASAP. So I left work and went to my OB/GYN. I got there and b/c they were having to work me in, it took forever. I just sat there in the waiting room with my heart pounding out of my chest and my mind racing..made a few deals with God while I was waiting, you know the "Please don't do this to me again..just let this baby be okay and I'll..." you know the drill..

Anyhow, they finally called me back and they did the ultrasound. I couldn't even see the screeen for the tears, but as soon as she turned the sound on the ultrasound machine and I heard that heartbeating....ohhhh the tears just came!! Everything is okay to make a long story short. He thinks that there is a slight tear in my placenta, but feels it should heal on it's own. I had the samething with Braedon's pregnancy early on..but it was a pretty major tear and prodcuced a lot more blood. So anyhow, I'm on "pelvic Rest" until my next appointment which is April 3rd and then we'll go from there. So no sex, no lifting anything heavy or exercising. Which I'm perfectly okay with to insure a healthy pregnancy!

Anyhow, the only good part about all of this drama is that I got to see my little belly bean today. I had the gestational age at 6 wks 5 days, but the ultrasound shows 6 wks 4 days. Oh well, what's one day!

Here's a picture of the belly bean:

Boys r us replied:
Yeah Sara, I asked him if I should keep my appt and that's when he told me that I was going to be on Pelvic Rest until my next apt and we would go from there as to whether we would continue it or not. But he said we would definitely still keep the ultrasound apt. It's only a little over a week away, but you know..I bet it's going to look a lot different by then..more like a baby instead of a "blob".

Nina J replied: Glad everythings ok smile.gif The baby is cute already happy.gif

ilovemybaby replied: I'm sorry you had to go through that. I had a similar experience with my first pregnancy at 26 weeks. I went to the toilet and wiped and there was lots of blood on the paper and in the toilet. I freaked and of course immediately thought I had had a miscarriage. But instead of phoning my midwife I phoned my doctor and then I phoned Paul and he came home and we went to the doctor. The nurse spoke to me first and asked what kind of symptoms I'd had. And she said she thought I probably had had a miscarriage. Then I saw the doctor and he listened for babys heartbeat and we heard it. It was such a relief.
Then he said you'll have to phone your midwife and she told me to go to the hospital so they could find out what the bleeding was from. They discovered it was actually from a fissure LOL (a tear in the anus) blush.gif So I felt pretty embarrassed about that. They gave me some liquid lactulose and that cleared up the constipation.

My3LilMonkeys replied: So glad everything is okay! What a cute little bean. wub.gif
