At what point do I get to give up?

Come freaking on. Johnny is doing so great eating and only needed his feeding tube one time this week becasue he was eating so well but still he LOST 3 ounces. What else are we supposed to do to get this kid to gain weight. I honestly cant think of anything we havent tried.
nursing-lost weight...a lot of weight Milk based formula, high calorie formula, Elemental formula, hypoallergenic, now hypoallergenic corn free and strict corn, dairy and soy free diet. still nothing

lovemy2 replied: Could he have some kind of absorption problem - not so much his tummy but intestines, etc.? I am no MD but if he is eating and not gaining weight maybe it is something like that or a metabolism issue???
I can only imagine your frustration...poor little guy.....
gr33n3y3z replied: Maybe a new Doctor?
Bamamom replied: I agree - a second, or third, or fourth opinion never hurt anyone. It may be time to try someone new.
coasterqueen replied: We are not quite where you are, well not close really, but I ask myself that every day because Megan is so tiny, won't eat, keeps losing weight and it's so frustrating.
I wish I had the answers for you hun.

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Thanks. He'll get a new Dr in a month or so when we move. until then the ped, GI, and feeding team dr I think are about all we can afford to have tell us they are out of ideas. I don't really need any ideas/suggestions as much as I appreciate them we rae kinda maxed out right now. One of my friends who has 3 with immune deficiency problems is part of a large group with kds with all kinds of disorders and she is getting me a list of tests to walk in and demand (once we have insurance that will pay for it) so maybe one of those will pan out. Until then...you just get to hear me complain because I don't know what else to do.
Mommy2BAK replied: Aww your such a wonderful mommy. I can imagine how frustrating this must be, I wish there was some sort of answers or advice I could give you, but I am clueless about those sort of things. Anyways, just wanted to offer my support. I hope his new doctor can think of something that everyone else was maybe overlooking and they can get that little man on the right track!
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Hang in there Lisa! You'll get some answers I bet once you guys get to CA and can try a new doctor. No offense to this town or to anyone here, but I find that most of the doctors I have seen for both myself and the kids, seem a bit behind. We like our pediatrician, but I am a little disappointed that they haven't checked up on Wesley's eating issues since his 9 month checkup. We are just now seeing an OT for the first time tomorrow with no help from our ped. Anyhow, from how Johnny looks in his photos, he looks like a very healthy, yet little, guy! Cute little plump cheeks! You're doing all the right things...just hang on, you'll get there!
lisar replied: I hope you get some answers and soon.
Mommy2Isabella replied: Hang in there. We haven't had problems like that with bella but it seems that is always one thing after another with her at times.
Keep the Faith and stay strong!!
flirtycuddle replied: I don't know if I asked you this or not but have u had him tested for EOC?? Its a disorder that has to do with absorbtion and I'm sure u can google it and find out more. But from what you have said he is a prime canidate for testing. It is a scope that has to be done to test him. Just a suggestion.
