Ashley's 12 month check up

We had her check up this week, we waited until she was over that cold so she could get her shots. Ped said she is doing great. She has REALLY thinned out, but the Ped said that is normal since she is so active. She runs now instead of walking.

The Ped also confirmed that she is cutting all four of her molars. One prong is through on the right side. Three and 1/2 more molars to go, poor baby!

Her stats: Weight: 20lbs 8 oz Height: 30-1/2 inches (50%ile for weight and 75%ile for height)

She got her finger poked and one shot. Poor baby. She didn't cry, but she looked at me with the saddest eyes and puckered up that quivering, pouty bottom lip... I was ready to cry!!! It was almost as if she was saying "why did you let them do that to me?" I think that broke my heart more than if she had cried!!!

We went to Frickers afterwards to celebrate her good check-up. Frickers is a local place... the best place to get wings and draft beer. (No beer for DD and I). But, I think this is Ashley's new favorite place to eat. I ordered her some breaded veggies and she loved them. Probably not the best way for her to get her veggies, but I thought that was better than french fries. She just kept saying "yum yum yum", and she would eat them faster than I could cut them up for her.

And, the shot doesn't seem to be bothering her too much tonight. She's such a troopeer.

Hannah's getting her molars too; they're almost through. She has 4 on top and 4 on the bottom. Is Ashley skipping a space between those teeth and the molars? Hannah is, and I was wondering about it.

Those accusing pouts really break your heart, don't they? I agree that they are worse than crying. But what's great is that it's all forgotten 2 minutes later!!!

Ashley is skipping the space on the bottom (she has 4 teeth on top). I asked the Ped about it and she said not to worry about it now. If she is still missing them at 3 years old, then they will take an X-Ray. But, she said that their teeth don't always come in the order they are "supposed" to and not to worry.

I thought she would weigh more too, but she has slimmed down A LOT!!! They may not have weighed her correctly... when the nurse was trying to weigh her, Ashley kept playing with the weight on the scales. And, then she wouldn't sit still, she was shaking her booty. So, it may be a little off. WHen I put her on the scale at home, it says 21 lbs but it may be just rounding up???
