Ashley needs a body bib...LOL

Now, she MUST hold the spoon herself. Which would be fine except that she slides her fingers down the spoon while it is in her mouth...getting food all over her hands. Then, since she has food on her hands, she decides she needs to rub her eyes, her cheeks, and of course her hair. THEN, to top it off, her way of saying she is done is to blow a raspberry in her food, spitting it all over me. By the time she gets out of her chair, even her toes have food on them. And, she is not even feeding herself yet.
And, she already knows how to take off the bibs that are velcro!!! (I guess I need to go buy some more bibs that tie)
supermom replied: LOL - Sounds like fun. If you sew or know someone who does, have them take a good size hand-towel, cut a circle big enough to go over her head in the middle, then trim around it with ribbing (like on a T-shirt neck) - they make GREAT "big" bibs and since they go part way down the back too, they are harder to pull off.
PS - sounds like a apron for mom wouldn't be such a bad idea either!
MommyToAshley replied: Great idea for the bib... anyone on this board sew? Actually, I think I might hint at this to my mother-in-law, I think she can sew.
Even better idea is the apron for Me! haha
Wait, I just had a brainstorm: When I think she is almost done eating and about to blow her raspberry, I will ask the DH to come feed her while I go to the restroom (or some other excuse). Problem solved -- at least for me. haha

Kaitlin'smom replied: they do make bibs like that with a whole in the middle and it slips over the head I have a couple. You might look around and get some, but the hand towel might be cheeper
MommyToAshley replied: Hmmm. Maybe I will see if I can find one or make one. But, it might just be safer to strip her down and feed her in the bathtub. LOL -- just kiddin.
Kaitlin'smom replied: Hay not a bad Idea! then you can just hose her down! LOL
supermom replied: And when it gets nicer, you can just sit her outside and use the hose <j/k> At least some of the food is probably good for the complexion!
MommyToAshley replied:
Hey, now there's a good idea. And, if I stand her in front of the car, I can wash the car at the same time. LOL Just Kidding. I feel guilty just joking about it.
Kaitlin'smom replied: you could use the sprinkler..............that way the water is not so ruff...............
just get daddy to feed her then you will not have to worry...........thats what they are for right?
supermom replied: You shouldn't feel guilty - all of their lives, a sense of humor will go a long, long way (from the mother of three, yes, three) teenagers !!! And I have the grey hair to prove it!!
MommyToAshley replied: Funny you should mention that. I am coloring my grey hair now as I type. But, I have had this grey streak on the left side since I was 18 years old -- it is hereditary, Mom and Grandma had it too. Although, I don't think Mom's was as obvious as mine.
MommyToAshley replied: Thanks for the tip. And, the pics -- so cute! Ok, maybe they are messy but definately Kodak moments!
Kaitlin'smom replied: I guess thats when you nees the hose!
