Are your kids using - a high chair
moped wrote: Just another question - are you kids still using a high chair and what age???
Jack is still in a high chair for meals and meal prep!
luvmykids replied: No, but I wish she was! She'll be two in two weeks. The twins were in them until about the same age.
mom21kid2dogs replied: Olivia always hated her high chair. We ditched it for a booster seat when she was a little under a year so she could sit with us at the table. She used it until about age 3 or so and could sit at the table without it.
3_call_me_mama replied: HMMMM Kid in highchair for meal prep..... what a lovely thought! Kathleen eats in hers most days, but some days she sits in a booster at the table. The main reason I have teh highchair out still is because I watch a littel girl here that is a 4 months older than kathleen but still too short to reach the tabel without a booster and so to feed them both at the same time 1 has to be in teh highchair, so Kathleen usually sits there. Meal prep.. yeah right! If she's not underfoot she's not happy
My3LilMonkeys replied: Brooke has been out of a highchair here since about 22 months or so. She still uses the highchair at MIL's sometimes but the IL's like to baby her so that's mostly their influence.
Madison just started around 7 1/2 months.
MyLuvBugs replied: The high chair got to be too combersome for our apartment, so we got a booster seat with a tray on it. I think Lorelei was 9 months old when we switched her over to it. She loves it, and the best part is....it's easy to travel with.
jacobsmama replied: Jen.. Jacob used a highchair until about 18 months and then he started unbuckling it and tyring to get up so now he is in a booster seat at the table. Sometimes I too wish he was in a highchair it seemed easier.
C&K*s Mommie replied: Christian was out by 7/8 mos~~ before we moved here.
Kellie never really used it, she just did not sit still long enough.
PrairieMom replied: We use a booster seat too. I dont think we will even bother with a high chair for the next one. The boy is 2 and a half and he still sits in it.
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Yep! And he's staying in it for awhile! I've thought of purchasing a booster seat, but why give up something he actually has no problem being in? Wil is so messy, that I don't want food all over my chair cushions anyway...
Does Jack want out of his?
holley79 replied: My thoughts exactly. LOL. I just recovered my dining room and breakfast table chairs right before I got prego. LOL.
How old were your children when you started using highchairs?
CAMSMOM1 replied:
Good question! I forget when we STARTED the high chair. I would say 7 months, I think?!
Cam is still in his high chair, he just turned 21 months. He doesn't like eating in it, he's rather walk around with his food...bad habit he started.
He does eat in a booster seat at resturants, and does fine. I just haven't bought him one for home yet.
MamaJAM replied: DS#2 still uses a booster seat with tray. The high chair was too big at our little table so we got rid of it a while ago. The booster isn't quite high enough - he likes his plate on the table, not the tray. We're hoping to find womthing better to use when we have some money.
ediep replied: jay started using the high chair when he started being fed with a spoon....about 4 months. He sat in it until he was about 2 or so. Then I got a booseter seat and he was in that for a while. Now he wants to be "a big boy" and sit with us at the table. Unfortunately, he always tries to get up and go play during dinner
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Logan started using it at around 6 months and at 16 months, he is still using it.
A&A'smommy replied: Alyssa hasn't used hers since she was about 20months old or less she always hated it though
kimberley replied: jade barely used hers she was ebf for her first year, used the chair for a couple of months then wanted to sit at the table like her brothers soon after that.
moped replied: No he doesn't seem to want out at all - he likes to go in it - while I am making a meal I put on Thomas for him and then turn it off when the food comes!
Sarah&Mackenzie replied: Yes Mackenzie still sits in her high chair and she is 14 months old. I will keep her in it as long as possible!!
booey2 replied: I think both boys were in it til they were 3, then they sat at the table, no boosters here, our chairs have a carved out seat so your bum doesn't get numb from sitting for a longtime so boosters never really worked. Our highchair was the kind that if you removed the tray you could roll it right up to the table. I think Thomas would benefit from a booster now though because he ends up standing or kneeling on his chair at dinner time.
coasterqueen replied: Kylie was too fat for her highchair. Her poor fat chubby legs just wouldn't fit in there comfortably so we went straight to a booster seat with her early early on. She still sits in a booster seat, but not by her own accord. We still make her sit in it. She never sat in something for meal prep, just played on the floor.
Megan is so tiny she was swallowed up by the highchair so at first she was in her bumbo for meal time, but now sits in the high chair. For meal prep she sits in her bumbo or plays on the floor around my feet.
Kaitlin'smom replied: Nope Kait has not been in one for a long time she started this at resturants that she wanted to sit like a big girl, she HATES booster seats. I think she was about 18-20 months when she stoped using it. Funny thing she was in it the other day to eat applesauce after I had used it for my nephew who is 6 months old. Hers flods down so it was easy to store.
fashionmumofboys replied: My mom will use it with Alesio he's 2 1/2, but at home he's in a booster since he was a little under 2.
Mom2Boyz replied: Conner still uses his for dinner, but I usually let him eat his lunch in the living room at his little table.
Maddie&EthansMom replied: Ethan hasn't been in a high chair for over 9 months. I was never so glad to get rid of anything in my life.
MichaelsMommy replied: Yes, and thank God I have the high chair. I really have to strap him in to get him to sit still and eat!
