Are your kids ...

luvmykids wrote: Heavy sleepers or light? Mine are usually really out, but lately the weirdest little noises have been waking one or all of them up. They'll sleep through the doorbell, dogs barking, thunder, doors opening and closing, washer, dryer, etc. But wake up if they hear a car door outside, or the ice machine dropping a batch.

Edward's Mommy replied: Edward is a really light sleeper. At night, we can't flush the toilet because it'll wake him up. It's really gross, but once he's up, it's hard to get him back to sleep.

b&bsmom replied: Once my kids are asleep they are done. I can go in my dd room at night turn the light on and change the fish water and she doesn't budge. Same with ds I can go use the computer in his room and he doesn't wake up. However, my kids don't sleep much. My dd is always up early and ds sometimes still gets up at night. rolleyes.gif

mckayleesmom replied: Mine have their good days and bad days... rolling_smile.gif

booey2 replied: The sleep like logs and don't even wake up for the smoke detectors and I have to literally shake them to get them to wake up.

BAC'sMom replied: DS #1 is a light sleeper and wakes up at the crack of dawn. (like his Momma)
DD and DS#2 are heavy sleepers; a bomb could go off and they would never even stir.(like their Daddy)

Crystalina replied: Mine are both heavy sleepers. I have never tiptoed around while they were sleeping. My mom told me in the begining to put them down for a nap and do what you have to do otherwise they'll wake up for anything. She was right. The only thing I haven't done while they were sleeping is run the vacuum and it's because that's just rude. Heavy sleeping is nice until I HAVE to wake them up early. Then Izabella fights all the way. Evan doesn't really care.

My sis didn't listen to Mom and her kids wake up for everything. Nap time at her house is like walking into a library. That would drive me nuts. wacko.gif

luvmykids replied:
I never did the quiet thing either until lately, they nap much lighter than at night. The twins used to nap in a bassinette in the den, so I ran the dishwasher, watched TV, talked on the phone and even did vacuum blush.gif

C&K*s Mommie replied: They have their phases like most people when they are heavy throughout the night, then lighter as they come out of the REM sleep. Overall, they are good sleepers that are too bothered by noise, if they are they will go back to sleep eventually.

JP&KJMOM replied: JP-always been a heavy sleeper. Move him from place to place and he never even knows it. Jason laughs at me cause I usually take him to the bathroom during the night if I know he has had a lot to drink. He literally is still asleep while I take him in there and make him go. He never remembers.

Karlee-she was a major colic baby for 4 solid months so when she did finally start sleeping I would have shot someone if they made a noise. emlaugh.gif Very light sleeper until about her 3rd birthday and now she is about half and half. Not light but not heavy either.

kayla's mama replied: Kayla is a heavy sleeper and she gets that honestly from her daddy and me here lately. During nap time I do everything from running the dishwasher to vacumming.

Our Lil' Family replied: Thomas is a heavy sleeper at night but not as heavy for his naps. Maybe because he only naps an hour at a time?

danahas4monkeys replied: Well my boys both of them are light sleepers somebody sneezes 5miles away and they are both up and rarin to go now my girls well I think you could actually set a bomb off beside their heads and they'd never budge and they can also fall asleep anywhere my Lexi actually fell asleep at a basketball game one time lol with buzzers going off and screaming and cheering lol!

Edward's Mommy replied:
Edward's afraid of the vacuum. Don't know why!

Brias3 replied: They are a little of each. Some days they will sleep through anything, some days they will wake at the drop of a pin. Ryan's probably the heaviest sleeper of the three.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied:
Ditto! Wil is usually out cold and sleeps good hours, but lately he's been getting up super early!

luvbug00 replied: Mya is inbetween she beds at 8 and will wake up at loud noises like loud thunder or alarm but will sleep with the light on and while you do stuff in the room.

the best is that she talks in her sleep and says the funniest stuff. tongue.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley is such a light sleeper unless she is really really tired. happy.gif

coasterqueen replied:
This is the same for both my girls. rolleyes.gif blush.gif wacko.gif

3xsthefun replied: Kaitlynn is a heavy sleeper.

Maegan is a light sleeper.

AlexsPajamaMama replied: Alex is a heavy sleeper. His room is right off the kitchen and we don't really have to be extra quiet while he is sleeping.
When he was a tiny baby he would fall asleep in the bouncy seat and I could vacume right next to him and he wouldn't mind at all!
He has been sleeping through the night since he was 2 monthes old!
...Now if I can only hope for the same when/if we have another baby!!

holley79 replied: Annika I think would sleep through a frieght train. Once she is out she is out. The thing that wakes her is when I come in early from work and go into her room. I think it's because she knows I am home finally. rolleyes.gif

AlexsPajamaMama replied:
DS wakes up in the morning when he hears his Daddy come home from working third shift...he always yells for his Dad to get him up!

ashtonsmama replied: My little guy was a very light sleeper the first month, but now *thank God* he sleeps more soundly...

blue72 replied: Kyle & Luke are both heavy sleepers. Jake wakes alot but I think it is due to health more than being a light sleeper.
