Apparantly, I dress Megan like a hoochie - a touch of religion mentioned
ammommy wrote: I went to drop off some of Megan's fall clothes from last year at a new resale shop. It's locally owned and I try to patronize these before chains. I took in the clothes after calling to make sure that they were still accepting fall clothes. When I went in, the lady warned me that they were extremely particular. OK, I figured that meant no fading, stains, etc. You know, the normal things. Well, I was wrong. They take no skirts above knee length, no "revealing" tops either in neckline or sheerness, shirts have to come well below the midriff, no hipster pants, and nothing from the Limited, Too (didn't apply to me), because she "is a good Christian woman who thinks that the way children dress today is appalling". Now, we are talking about a size 18 month wardrobe here! There was one sweater that she deemed acceptable and was going to give my $1.00. I politely said no thank you and left. None of the clothes from Polo, Gap, or Carters met her guidelines mainly because infant skirts are short and the sweaters were a loose weave so that you could see "the child's undergarments". What toddler wears undergarments? I know that she can run her business any way she wants, but honestly, I'll be surprised if she is around in January. I would have loved to read her business plan. BTW, everything that is in " " is a direct quote from this woman.

We had a resale shop here that I took some stuff to last Christmas-there were several Cristmas themed sweaters and some toys that I had told Tay we had to take because Santa was coming and he shopped there. Well Taylor tells this lady's daughter Santa was coming and this kid tells Taylor Santa was the devil The lady wouldn't take the sweaters they premoted "lies" UHHH OK I thought he was a fat jolly guy in a suit! LOL!!! Oh she is out of business BTW!

Just as soon as I read this, & before I read the next sentence, I asked myself, "what undergarments?" LOL
Keep us posted on her business or lack thereof, come January.

That's pretty unbelievable. My good Christian daughter has on a darling lepoard print LTD2 shirt on right now. Good thing we're Catholic and we've got confession!
My3LilMonkeys replied: Well she probably wouldn't want any of Brooke's clothes either! I just put away all of her summer clothes and it was all tank tops, halters, short shorts, mini skirts....lol!
I guess there are a lot of hoochie kids around!

ammommy replied: Ain't that the truth
Maddie&EthansMom replied: That's hilarious. I can't imagine. I don't think she would even approve of Maddie's school uniforms
Debra replied: I could so see a shop like that in my area! I think it's great that she's looking out for children (atleast trying to do a small part) & she'd definately stay in big business here. But my daughter too wears some above-the-knee skirts so she wouldn't buy much from me.
A&A'smommy replied: WOW that is a bit much I mean come on!!!
holley79 replied: What have you all done to your children...
I'm sorry. I read this before I left for work. I was stopping off at the cosignment store to get a brand new Medela off layaway. I had to look at the clothes she had. You can all take them to her. LOL. We live in the "Bible Belt" of Florida at that.
