Anyones baby drinking bath water?

I keep telling her no-no but she just looks at me and tries to drink it again. I know she isn't thirst because I feed her right before I give her a bath. She has toys in there but it still doesn't help. If I turn the spicket(sp?) on she puts her hands under the running water and that keeps her occupied for a very short time. Then it's back to sucking down the water.
Anybody have any ideas???

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley tries to do the same thing. She tries to grab the washcloth and suck the water out of it...when I take that away, she will just dunk her hand in the water and suck it then repeat.

jdkjd replied: Bailey does the same thing! I gave her a cup to play with but she trys to drink out of it. Should we be worried about the soap and stuff?

I don't know so I let her play and then wash her and her hair at the end. So, the only thing she is drinking is the plain water at first.

Schnoogly replied: Oh totally. When we take a shower together he licks the water off my shoulder. We have high levels of perchlorate in our water so I do worry about it. I would love to get a whole house water filter but they're so expensive!!

And I wouldn't worry about the soap as long as it's non-toxic baby soap. It's a very small amount.

supermom replied: Yep, I wouldn't worry too much about the soap either, unless she gets a whole lot of it and it gives her the poops! Anders still drinks his bath water, and he's three. Even if he has just had a big glass of water or juice or whatever. I think it is just the novelty of it is all......I finally gave up worrying about it, since we do have a water softner, we do get it somewhat 'treated' and it's not too bad to drink......

kit_kats_mom replied: Ohhh yeah! Luckily our water is "good" so I've started to just hold the shower head over her and she laps the water up and grins like mad. Soooo goofy.

MomToMany replied: Yep! Ethan and Hannah do this, too, although I hope the older boys have stopped....

I don't worry about it because we have good water, although I don't like it when Hannah eats all the bubbles!

What kind of bubbles do you put in there? Maddie has yet to see bubbles, poor baby.
We use Baby Magic shampoo and baby bath in one, is that pretty much the same thing you use? One more question, Does it give him the runs at all? just wondering.
