chloe&tysmommy replied: OOPPSS........Sorry for the double signature!!! LOL wacko.gif

jdkjd replied: Bailey is trying. She gets up on all fours and rocks but can't seem to figure out how to go from there...she splats onto her tummy to go anywhere.LOL

maliksmommy replied: Malik does the same thing. He gets up on all fours and rocks then either scoots backwards or falls flat on his face. He's figured out how to move his legs forward just can't figure out that he needs to move his hands too biggrin.gif

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Yup!

My little Chunky Monkey was born August 30th, and he's been *really* crawling for about 3 days now. Before he'd half crawl, half drag, now he is starting to move his knees rather than just draggin his legs with his arms.

Yay Zach!! horray.gif horray.gif baby.gif

MommyToAshley replied: Ashley does the rocking, she tries to crawl. She knows how to move her knees, but forgets to move her arms and falls forward on her nose. LOL. Malik sounds like Ashley. rolling_smile.gif
She can scoot anywhere though.

dhoppygirl replied: Peyton also gets up on his hands and knees and rocks...sometimes he propels himself forward, but isn't expecting it so he lands on his nose!! Don't you think their little butt in the air is the cutest thing ever?

Just today he has started to roll everywhere he wants to go rolling_smile.gif , so I don't know if he will want to start crawling for a while!!

momofajcl replied:
LOL! I catch Nicholas sleeping w/his butt in the air all the time. Was it someone here that said it was because of gas they sleep that way????

Nicholas rolls everywhere too. He does get up on his knees but only for a minute. He doesn't quite rock yet. I'm waiting for him to be able to sit and not fall over! LOL! He will sit up for a few minutes then its like "TIMBER!" and he crashes on his side! LOL!

TLCDad replied:
LOL you described Ashley exactly. Shes starting to know to move one knee but doesn't know she has to move her hand as well so she flops down on her stomach. wink.gif I estimate she will have it figured out within a few days though.

Edit: LOL I just see Dee Dee already posted the above wink.gif

5littleladies replied: Brianna hates being on her tummy (unless she is asleep) so I have given up hope that she will ever crawl. lol. Any suggestions on how to get her to like it? I never had this problem with my other 2.

TLCDad replied:
Ashley does not like being on her tummy long... Especially at first...

Now if she rolls onto her tummy in the crib she crys ;(

maestra replied:

I recently went to a conference about brain research where they said that research is showing that kids who never crawl have trouble reading later on, it has something to do with the communication between the two sides of the brain. Now we are actually taking kids who never crawled and are having trouble reading do a crawling action, and their reading is getting better.

Weird huh? wink.gif

They said it doesn't matter what order they learn to crawl or walk, just so long as they do crawl.

My dh has always had trouble reading, and my mil says he never crawled. Maybe I should make him now! rolling_smile.gif

As for Jaci, she hasn't quite figured out how to get on her knees yet, but she's close!

MommyToAshley replied: LOL rolling_smile.gif

I have trouble spelling, do you know what that is related to? I never learned how to whistle, could that be it?? hehe, just kidding. rolling_smile.gif I think it has to do with depending on spellcheck!

ediep replied: I don't think Jason will crawl anytime soon. If I put him on his belly, he lifts himself up with his hands the he rolls over. I've tried putting toys down, laying with him, showing him what crawling looks like.....but he is just not intrested yet!
