Anyone seen the Hanna Montana movie?
MommyToAshley wrote: Ashley has been asking to see it for some time, and since she finally cleaned her room she is allowed out... we're goign to see it with some friends. I hope it lives up to her expectations.
mckayleesmom replied: No...I didn't know it was out yet....hmmm
mckayleesmom replied: I don't think its showing here in New Bern......so Im not going to say anything to her. I can't believe the price of tickets are almost 20 bucks.
MommyToAshley replied: They're $15 here, even for the matinee. But, it is a special treat, and Ashley has really wanted to see it, so I caved.
Anthony275 replied: woah $15 for one ticket?
Calimama replied: I don't get the craze with that girl.
mom21kid2dogs replied: It was really good. I can't really see much in 3D because I'm blind in one eye but you get plastic glasses (for your $15 ticket ) and I did actually get some effect of it! She is one hugely talented 15 year old. And disgustingly beautiful, too!!!
ETA: I'll be interested to hear what you thought of the segment explaining the song she wrote called "I Miss You". I was totally bawling!
5littleladies replied: I haven't seen it but my brother took the older two girls last weekend and they loved it.
luvmykids replied: Kylie really wants to see that, and I'll take her....as soon as she cleans her room
luvbug00 replied: yeah 15 bucks for a ticket?? remind me to ask mya "can we say DVD?" I like HM but not for $15 or $20 bucks.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: I refuse to see it...just because all my voice students (except one, and he's a 17 yr old male) have fricken hannah montana songs as their practice pieces... and so going to see it I would get laughed at, because I know the songs by heart I've heard them so much...
MommyToAshley replied: I agree, that part was very touching. She is a very talented 15 year old, but I also think she is well-grounded for being famous at such a young age.
I thought the part about the Dads racing in high heels was hilarious... DH would do anything for Ashley so it's probably good they didn't do that here locally.
As for the 3-D effect, I saw a little of it when Miley was sitting on the end of the stage, and the part with the confetti at the end, but I don't think the glasses made that much of a difference. Now, some of the previews they had for upcoming 3-D movies look pretty cool.
So, Did Olivia sit in her seat at all? We sat where there's a space between the bottom and top section, so Ashley was down in that big open area dancing and singing. It was the next best thing to being at the concert in person. She loved it and said it was the "best day ever" ... so you can't beat that for $15.
MommyToAshley replied: Don't worry, no one would hear you over all the young girls that will be singing!
mom21kid2dogs replied: Yeah, she did sit for most of it. We got there over an hour early so we could get a front row seat. It was so realsitic that I had to resist the temptation to clap & shout after the first song!!! I agree~$15 was well worth it see the look on her face during it~she was totally mesmerized (and this is a kid whom few things catch to that much of a degree). I waste more money than that every trip I make to Walmart so I'd didn't feel it was excessive at all. At least there was no $5 a seat Ticketmaster surcharge and $20 tp park!! Aside from the $4 hot dogs, it wasn't too bad at all!!
Rocky~I've been singing kids songs since the Wiggles Concert and I doubt I'll stop anytime soon. I sang my way through the movie, too! Thank goodness I do a few adult music activities so I remember using the skills I've learned!!!
