Insanemomof3 replied: Me too!
Hillbilly Housewife replied: ok, here it is....... this only lasts a day or so in MY house.
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (like eaglebrand) 1/4 cup liquid non-dairy creamer 3 eggs 1 drop vanilla extract 1 1/2 tablespoons chocolate syrup (i use the nestle quik type) 1 cup whiskey
Put all ingredients in a blender (on high). Pour into a closed container and store in the fridge. Serve in shot glasses... or do like me - in a big big glass!
amymom replied: Thanks I will have to give it a try!!!
aspenblue1 replied: Thanks I will have to try it.
salmndr007 replied: that sounds great...now i'm ready for the Kahlua one!
PrairieMom replied: isn't it a little early in the day to start drinking?
salmndr007 replied: lol...i am at work, just reading up and the bailey's one looks enticing. i will have to try it when i get home.
ammommy replied: Here is the Kahula recipe. There are others out there, but this is the best one I've tried. It makes a ton, but keeps for at least a year. KALUHA
7 c. sugar (NOT splenda) 10 c. water 1 (2 oz.) jar instant coffee (the cheaper the better for some reason) 1 (1.75) liter grain alcohol 2 oz. pure vanilla extract 1 vanilla bean
Mix sugar, coffee and water; bring to a boil, cook 6-7 minutes. Cool. Add remaining ingredients, but suspend vanilla bean stir well and bottle. Store in cool dark place keeping bottle on its side turning 1/4 turn every 24 hours for 30 days.
Hillbilly Housewife replied: mmmmmmmm
sounds like a lot of work though.....
Now i want a brown cow
ammommy replied: It's not a lot of work, it just takes forever to make. Well worth it, though
fashionmumofboys replied: I have that Bailey's recipe and it's so yummy.
luvmykids replied: Hope this isn't a dumb question ... what is grain alcohol? Maybe another dumb (unrelated question) ... in your posts what does DH mean? Dear Husband? DD?
ammommy replied: Not silly at all. I believe that grain alcohol is 180 proof (maybe 190). Everclear is what I use.
Dh/DD/DS stands for dear husband (or another word beginning with D depending on your mood )/daughter/son.
