Anyone hear watch "Real World"? - am I immature or what?
jcc64 wrote: My dh is constantly berating me for watching this show, and I no longer watch it regularly. But this season's cast is pretty riveting- in a car wreck kind of a way. They are so out of control with their partying and their ensueing dramatic eruptions- I can't turn away. Are kids really like this now? Hopping in and out of each other's beds like they change their shoes, with no shame or remorse whatsoever? (My God I sound like such an old fart, don't I?!)
mckayleesmom replied: LOL...I haven't watched this season because they are becoming so fake.....How many people do you know in a group that all look like super models? I do love those train wreck shows though... I can't believe that someone on the real world hasn't gotten pregnant yet.... Im sure their parents are so proud.
lisar replied: No I watch it sometimes. I mostly watch the re-runs on the weekend though. And no you are not immature....
mckayleesmom replied: I have to ad....I LOVE the Road Rules/Real World challenger shows alot.....
My2Beauties replied: I watch it religiously and frankly the casts are so dramatic on this show anymore. They pick polar opposites to live together. Oh and what's her name that threw that God awful fit last night over Tyrie saying something about her using the word "ghetto" - what is her friggin deal anyways? God she needs to grow up! Oh and Colie's whole I want my mom bit when she was getting an IV - sheesh girl hate to see you when you have children
CantWait replied: I watch it when I can catch it. I can't believe how quickly some "fall in love", and what total hoes they are. I'm a drama freak though so I like watching that stuff.
TANNER'S MOM replied: I watch it.. I was laughing at Colie too when she was screaming about gettng an IV.. I thought so for the TV!! But having Mono does suck. I was thinking man she is so sick and her roomates aren't even checking on her much. The sick couch was sweet!
Tryie and Jenn they are crazy!'
And the whole I hate these people b/c I was lost and men cat called me.. was too funny!
luvmykids replied: Guilty. I thought I was a little wild in my 20's but they put me to shame! Makes me hate to think of what "young people" will be like by the time my kids are that age
Celestrina replied: Don't feel immature. Heck, I still watch cartoons, and not just while Ben is with me. Yeah, seeing shows like this scares the crap out of me. How are their actions affecting the kids watching it?
mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: You're so funny Monica...I was totally thinking the same thing about myself! I was crazy...but not THAT crazy!! Aren't they in Denver right now? I think DH said someone from his work partied with them! I used to watch it...but lost track back to I think the San Diego one. They are all the same now...same drama, just a different place!
I only think the very first one was good...in a "these are actually somewhat interesting people" good...At least they actually worked and didn't sit around drinking and having sex with each other!
MotherForever2043 replied: I so agree.
C&K*s Mommie replied: I catch it every now and then, I think I have seen just about every episode aired so far though, I am just not in a habit of watching it at regular times.
As far as swtiching partners like most people change shoes, that is far and beyond ridiculous. I was not angelic in my high school years, but in comparison to these people I sure looked like it.
The dark haired anxiety-depressed girl (I cannot recall her name) and her breakdown over the cat calling, and then the her getting upset when Tyrie questioned her on her "ghetto" comment was too much drama for me.
Tyrie and Jen need muzzles over their mouths.
The Colie IV incident was too much drama as well.
