Anyone have big summer plans??

We are going on vacation to the beach for a week June 12th. Anyone live near Myrtle Beach Sc?

Other than that..I have an empty calendar for the summer and I need to start filling it up so that we don't waste it away just being lazy bums!

I actually would like to do some work on my garden, redoing the retaining wall, and building a new deck. This will be the summer of home improvements.

bluebear replied: Now that I'm done with classes, all I will be doing is working 5 days a week at Michaels
But I'm counting down the days until I see my cousins again, they are growing so fast and I haven't seen them since the beginning of January Every time I'm at work I look around for activities to do with them, and I have a pretty good selection of crafts to do!! Sometime in July I'll see them, we plan early.

CantWait replied: We haven't decided yet for sure if we're going to go somewhere (England, Paris, Scotland) in June right after school finishes, or possibly in August before school starts again.

The second week of July my BFF and her family are coming for two weeks.

Other than that, I don't think we'll be doing much with my big belly hangin around.

Insanemomof3 replied: I do!!!! Well, in june I am getting married and going to the beach for our honeymoon. Then we plan to go camping every chance we get lol. All kinds of things going on this summer.

Tara, we have a list of home renovations too!! We are expanding our deck the length of our house..which is going to be a BIG job..it's only like 24x24 now and the new part will be almost 3x that..I'm a little hesitant on doing it ourselves. But we'll see how far we get b/f we decide to call in the troops!! LOL Rick keeps telling me it's a 'weekend' job and I keep laughing at him!

luvbug00 replied: myas headed up to new york to spend a week at the lake cabin with family. I have no plans this summer..maybe grab a three day weekend somewhere but that is about it.

I know we will be going camping for 4 days at Sherwood Lake here in WV the last week of July. We are also going to Natural Bridge VA for 3 days that week.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: The girls will be off to their Dad's on June 5th for their usual summer visit. Then in June I will be heading down to Naples for my Nana's memorial. I guess my aunt will be renting a beach house and we are going to BBQ. Other then that I will be here in Tallahassee.

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Other than a weekend camping trip and friends coming to visit, not much. Dh is only taking a couple online classes this summer, so he might get a job so that I can take the summer off and just be a mom. I'm going to put Andrew in swimming lessons and maybe T-ball, and we want to go back to our home town to visit a few times this summer, and my boss is really crabby about us asking for time off. I'm excited about being able to take the kids to the park or the pool in the evenings when the sun isn't too hot, or just stay home and play outside with them.

coasterqueen replied: Camping hopefully memorial day weekend and 4th of July weekend. We have another camp trip we will definitely do before summer is over with some friends. We may do a few other weekend camp trips.

I have to work 2 days up in Galena a the Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa so we are going to stay a few extra days like we do every year and pamper ourselves (the whole family).

Ryan and I are going to Vegas in September with some friends so we aren't doing any BIG trips this summer.

Other than that we have softball games, dance, gymnastics that will keep us plenty busy. We have several home projects we want to do, plus redo some that we already did that the dogs tore up , but we just don't have the time these days it seems. Maybe we'll get to some of them.

We will go to Six Flags this summer some time.

That's pretty much all for us.

More than likely we will do a staycation this summer and take advantage of all the local stuff. We might steal away one weekend to stay at a cabin on the lake. I'd love love love to go to the beach, though!!

We are doing home renovations this summer, too.

Our Lil' Family replied: Not much happening with a baby around here. We're going to Disneyworld in November (sans bebe') so that's our big trip this year. I got great deals (half off) on family tickets to the New Orleans Zoo, Insectarium and Global Wildlife so we're going to do that over the summer, little day trips. Oh and I think my Dad is renting us a cabin on a lake for 4th of July.

Hillbilly Housewife replied: Going for a 2 1/2 week road trip with my luvie. We're going to drive from Ottawa to Nova Scotia to visit SO's family, then on the way back home we're going to stop over in Newfoundland and Prince Edward Island.

Right when we get back, SO's heading off to Germany for a week for work... and when he gets back we're going to Toronto for my family reunion. Althugh, there's talk that his trip may be delayed a week... so I don't know.

other than that, we're continuing renos in my house to put it up for sale by the spring

My2Beauties replied: My best friend is getting married in June so I have that to look forward to. Then in July, Tye and I are probably heading to Georgia to visit his family, then in August we're gonna spend 4 days in Gatlinburg. Brian is going to Vegas next month - lucky butt, I will miss going on that every other year trip LOL oh well!

youngmomofone replied: Not a darn thing here. Dh will be away for training for two weeks this summer. My oldest will turn 7yo in July. Other than that it will be pretty boring around here.
