Anyone have a dishwasher - That is truly FABULOUS?
luvmykids wrote: I'm on my third one, shopping around for a fourth I'm obviously not a good dishwasher picker, anyone really, really like theirs? I think the most I spend is in the $500 range and this time I'll have to be more like the $300's but I'm still hoping to find something fairly good.
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Yes, I do. It's me.

And the people I nanny for have one that I really love. She is forever telling me how much she loves me for "doing the dishes" I guess it's because we don't have a dishwasher but I just really don't see putting the dishes in there, filling it with soap and pushing start as doing the dishes And we make a game of putting them away so it's all in good fun.
They have this one though; Maytag Dishwasher
They've lived in their house for three 1/2 years now and haven't had any problems with it. It says no need to pre-rinse, but I know that I always just rinse off the dishes anyway and I think she does too before she sticks them in there.
The one downside... the baby likes to turn it on ALL THE TIME!
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: Have you checked Sears? The one in our town is having a pretty big sale right now.
luvmykids replied: Ours is having 20% off on appliances, I've seen some I like I'm just stumped because I've had a Maytag, Frigidaire, and Kenmore and none of them have been all that great. My mom's is a Maytag and it's awesome but it's out of my price range by about double
Boys r us replied: I **think** mine might have been a little over that price range..but hey..if you have to keep buying new ones..maybe spending a little more is the way to go..lol!
We have a KitchenAide. Ours is stainless..you may be able to get nonstainless for a lot cheaper if white/black would match your kitchen!! I love my dishwasher! Very quiet, never had a moments problem and it's very sleek with the buttons/controls on the top of the door so you can't see them unless the door is open.
coasterqueen replied: We have a GE Profile and I've always liked it. Never had a big problem with it. Ours was just recalled, though, and they are giving us the option of getting it fixed for free, getting a $150 to go towards a regular GE dishwasher or $300 to go towards another GE Profile.
luvmykids replied: I think I may just do the dishes myself for a little longer until I can spend more. I can't believe I'm having to replace this one already, the previous owners bought it but it's still only a little over a year old
I like the thought of the controls on the top of the door....then the kids couldn't keep starting it
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I'm telling you, Monica, I am a fabulous dishwasher. Never leave anything on the dishes and spotless everytime.
luvmykids replied: So how much do you cost?
It hasn't been too bad doing them by hand, I guess I just hate the thought of having to do them that way FOREVER
MyBrownEyedBoy replied: I cost an arm and a leg if you ask Aaron. LOL.
I've been handwashing since we moved into our house, 5 years ago. Kitchen is too small to put a dishwasher in. But our next home will have a dishwasher.
Jake&Emma'sMommy replied: Mine washes dishes. As long as it does that, i'm pleased!!
moped replied: Ours is kitchenaide - not stainless but a good one I think - other than they say it is silent, but really it isnt silent - but no problems
BAC'sMom replied:
I'm the dishwasher too
Our Lil' Family replied: I've heard fabulous things about the Bosch brand but they are definitely pricey. We have a GE Nautilus that came with the house and it's so so. My mom has a Maytag and it's like a work horse, that thing is good!
Sam & Abby's Mom replied: Funny you should ask - our dishwasher just broke and we had a new one delivered Thursday. The new one is a MAYTAG LEGACY SERIES - QUIET SERIES 200. I'm only on my 2nd load of dishes right now. They dont seem very dry, though. Not sure if I'm not programming something correctly or if its the way the dishwasher is. I will say this dishwasher's bottom rack sits very low to the ground which is not great on your back but is pretty cool because you can fit 'taller' items in it. We bought it from HomeDepot. It was $349.00 before taxes, delivery, assy kit,,,etc.
So far, so good.
Edited to add: oh, and this new dishwasher is much quieter than our old one!
punkeemunkee'smom replied: I was gonna say I don't know how fabulous I am but Bill says I look sexy doing them!
