We are thinking of buying one. Rob has been wanting one for awhile now. He has been going back in forth deciding to just get a 32 inch TV or so with a big screen.

I told him by the time we buy a new tv and stand, we might as well go with the big screen. Because they are going cost about the same. We want to get rid of our old entertainment center because it is not really that safe. It scares me really.

So my question is if you do have one how do you like it?

Forgot to say he LOVES it! It has a really nice picture.

MomToMany replied: We have a 42" plasma, and we love it! It's mounted on the wall, so the kids can't get at it. Not sure what it cost, since it came with the entertainment package when we got our new house, but DH said around $2500.

The quality of the picture is amazing as well, compared to a regular TV. So clear & sharp. It's well worth the money I think!

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: We just bought a 40" Sony HD flat-screen that we mounted on our wall. We like it! We've always been happy with Sony, so that's what I would reccomend. We got the best deal at Best Buy, the second best deal would have been Sears!

luvbug00 replied: If you get one, get an expencive good one. we had one and the picture went to heck after like 2 days and we had to hull that stuiped thing down 4 flights of stairs.

C&K*s Mommie replied: we do not have one ourselves. We have a 50something inch popup console tvs~~ it is older and we use it as our tv stand anyways.

If that is what he wants I say, GO FOR IT!

Are you considering getting a HDTV flat big screen, or the big ones with the hut on the back?

coasterqueen replied: We don't have one. We went cheapy and put up a projector and big screen in our basement. My sister and her boyfriend have one though and love it!

mommymonster replied: 65" and love it! Great when we have family over or friends. No matter where anyone sits, they can see! Kids love watching cartoon videos on it as well.

luvmykids replied: I say go for it, just make sure you see one in person. On some of those big ones if they aren't good the picture just gets bigger, not better.

fashionmumofboys replied: We have a 62" Sony and have had it for 3 1/2 years now. Everybody just seems to love it. In the beginning I found it hard to get used to it because of the large screen, but afterwards it was fine.

A&A'smommy replied: COOL!!! Girl i say go for it.. if it wasn't for the fact that I want a camera (same price with extra lense as your tv) then we would get a big screen too!

PrairieMom replied: We have a love hate relationship with our big screen TV. We have a RCA HDTV. I have no idea how big it is. I'm sure it is bigger than 60 inches. I know we got it stuck n the doorway trying to get the dumb thing in the house. It has a really nice picture and all that, but it is basically a huge computer, and it locks up easily. If The Boy turns it on and off to fast, or if I push the wrong "on " button on the remote the whole TV will go blank and I will have to unplug it a minute and wait for it to reboot. We paid way to much for such an inconvinience. It happens at least a few times a month, and we paid about 1200 for the TV at SAMS club. (maybe thats where we went wrong! )

coasterqueen replied: My IL's have one like that. I don't care for it because of the glare and the pixilation of it (?) . I guess what i"m saying is for theirs it's not a very good clear picture. Make sure you get that when you pick one out.

kayla's mama replied: We have a 46 incher HD and we love it. It's kinda like the one on the link but Sony. The only thing we found out was the game systems are not good for them. It ruins the color thingy in the tv.

We are going to get a 51" Magnavox.

I guess Rob couldn't wait any longer. I think we will like it. We have already looked at them.

My2Beauties replied: We have a 55 inch screen Big Screen, not a flat screen, we've had it for over 2 years now. It's a Philips and we love it. I can hardly watch TV on a smaller TV now - LOL!

It looks really stupid on it's own. It needed the tv unit shelving around it.... it looks really dumb stand alone.
