Anyone going on a vacation this year??

In a few weeks I'm going to Miami..that's strictly a girl's getaway.

This summer we are planning a Mexico vacation for a week at a resort. Cancun or somewhere around there. We haven't really discussed details, or made reservations. I'm waiting to see if my husband actually takes a week off..you'd have to know him. Not only does he not follow thru with things, but he has a habit of making plans at the last minute...drives me nuts!!! It will be our first family vacation.

I hope to go back to Louisiana to visit one of my best friends (Our Lil Family). Unless she doesn't want us, I don't see why I wouldn't make it back down there.

And, I have to make it down to San Antonio to visit another of my bestest friends since I didn't make it down there last summer. I'm normally there every summer.

DH and I will also do a Memphis trip, we do that every year...it maybe will be in Feb, maybe a couple of months later.

I'd really like to get away somewhere with him for like a week but its hard...the kids are young & its hard to ask the parents to watch them for a week since they work.

Nina J replied: I am hopefully going to the United Arab Emirates (especially Dubai) in November. I might also go to India and Pakistan and that hasn't been fully decided yet.

If I don't go in November I will be going early next year.

kit_kats_mom replied: We are doing another week and a half road trip up to Illinois in August. Other than that, no plans. Maybe a few days at a beach resort nearby in the spring.

luvmykids replied: Sure hope so, 2007 is the first year in about five that we didn't, but it's too soon to tell. We'd love to do Disney at some point this year, and some kind of getaway for just the two of us.

MyBlueEyedBabies replied: Going to Colorado for a big group get together with my girls this summer...and we might be going again in December for Christmas. My sister has to go because her MIL said either there or Florida...my sister wants CO because we have family there too. She wants us to go also but it is always questionable if dh can get time off especially that time of year

MommyToAshley replied: DH and I are going to Las Vegas -- just the two of us for a long weekend in the spring. And, we're all going to Gatlinburg for a friend's wedding in the fall. When we go to Gatlinburg, we're going to go down earlier in the week to do some stuff before the wedding. I'd like to go to Disney again, but that might not happen until next year.

mysweetpeasWil&Wes replied: Lake Tahoe in March. That's it so far. I'm sure we'll go out to CA to visit family at least once or twice this year, but I don't really consider that a vacation.

ETA: I'm going to NYC in November for my 30th. Other than that I'm not sure because DH will be starting a new job in May so he may not get any time off. We may try to do something after graduation but before work, not sure how that will play out though.

And for me. None planned but we are gona try and go to Disney this year. Cant none of us ever seem to get the time off work together. And we are also planning on going to Durhamtown again. This time I am gona take Lexi.
