Anyone elses kids do this?

My3LilMonkeys wrote: Lately Brooke and Madison have gotten into the habit of asking the same question a million times...and it's driving me crazy!! For example, I had just finished mopping the kitchen floor when Brooke came out and asked for a drink. I told her we had to wait for the floor to dry, that it would be a few minutes and I would let her know when it was ready. It's been less than 5 minutes and she's already asked 3 times if she could have her drink yet!!! wacko.gif

Anyone else have this problem? How do you deal with it without losing your sanity? I'm trying to be patient in answering her over and over but I'm not always successful!

Hillbilly Housewife replied: when they start to repeat themselves, I just tell them that they've already asked me that question, and I ask them what I answered the last time... they repeat it to me.. and don't ask again. dunno.gif

~Roo'sMama~ replied: Andrew does that all the time. I tell him that I already answered him but it doesn't do much good. tongue.gif

my2monkeyboys replied: My kid has NEVER done that -- y'all must have weirdo chaps!

LOL! Will does this ALLl the time, and I always tell him I already answered him. He'll quit asking for the time being, but the next time he asks a question we tend to go through the same thing.

I wonder if they just don't really listen sometimes... they hear what you say but they don't actually listen to what you're saying. wacko.gif tongue.gif

Teesa®© replied: Mine do that ALL the time!! growl.gif I finally told them that I've answered the question and I will NOT answer it again. If they ask me for a 3rd time then the answer will change to NO!

Celestrina replied: YES! He has just started doing this, especially when the answer is "no", "not yet", or "I don't know."

AlexsPajamaMama replied: Yup all the flippin time wacko.gif

Teesa®© replied: I'm SO glad that when we go for drives that they don't do the, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" wacko.gif

Although, I'll admit I've done it once or twice the SECOND we've pulled out of the driveway rolling_smile.gif rolling_smile.gif

A&A'smommy replied: OMG Alyssa does the same thing, it drives me insane!!!!

MoonMama replied: Oh goodness I remember this all too well from my Nanny/Day Care teacher days. rolling_smile.gif wacko.gif hug.gif

I remember this one time I was subbing in the 4-5 yr class room. And the Pepsi guy came to refill the Pepsi the machine and it happened to be right next to the 4-5 class so he had to walk through it to and from his truck. Anyway this one little girl every time he walked by would ask "Do you like Coke (yeah she said Coke) so much you decided to be a Coke deliverier (yep said deliverier)?" blink.gif He went back and forth about 10 times. He would nicely tell her the same tthing every time he passed by....poor guy. wacko.gif rolling_smile.gif

lisar replied: All the time. They never stop. If I say hang on a sec, or in a minute, I will get asked atleast 5 times in the next minute. It never fails.

Boo&BugsMom replied: You bet! Tanner is notorious for this! rolleyes.gif
