Any roller coaster freaks out there?

jcc64 wrote: Just took my boys (left Corey with a sitter) to Six Flags Great Adventure in South Jersey. What an absolute blast we had! They have 13- count 'em- 13 crazy roller coasters, including the fastest, highest coaster in the world. I went on them all. It was quite comical- me on these enormous lines, with no one over the age of 21. Some of the kids were looking at me like "Who is this old freak?"
But there's nothing like a roller coaster to make you feel like you're 14 again- the faster the better. I highly recommend it!

5littleladies replied: I love roller coasters! thumb.gif My favorite kind is the ones that hang from the track. Woohoo!! biggrin.gif Unfortunately I won't be enjoying any this year, but I'm looking forward to next year. tongue.gif

Glad you had a good time! And who cares what other people think-I hope I never feel too "old" to go on coasters. happy.gif

DansMom replied: DH and are are total roller-coaster freaks! We go to Cedar Point in Ohio, which is basically roller coaster heaven. I haven't done this since Daniel was born though. Daniel has seen small ones and likes the idea very much---I'm sure when he's big enough he'll be a fan!

gr33n3y3z replied: We go to Great Adventure there also its like 2 1/2 away from us maybe 3
South Jersey as in NJ I wish it was in S.Jersey lol.

15 of us go up there in August right around my Birthday and Ed and the kids all but Katie do non stop coasters all day and night long.
Katie hates them so we do all water rides when ever they have those open and we check out the shows that they have and eat lol.

I'm glad you all had a great time

Boys r us replied: I am a complete roller coaster addict!!!!!!!!! LOVE THEM!!!! SO far my favorite has been Alpengheist(sp?) at Busch gardens in Williamsburg, Va!!!!

jcc64 replied: Hey Nichole-
How is Busch Gardens? Do they have alot of coasters there? What part of the state is it in?
As it turns out, we are going to the Outer Banks this Aug (right smack in the middle of hurricane season, btw), maybe we'll take a little side trip to Busch Gardens.

Boys r us replied: Oh I love BG!! Really..it's my favorite amusement park. I think they only have 5 coasters, but there are so many great things to do there..for everyone!
The atmosphere makes it nice too - the different countries. It's a must do! I'm not sure how you would be coming as far as your route from your home to the outer banks(btw..did you look for any places on ocracoke island? even if you're not saying there, you MUST GO VISIT!!) but if you have to get on 64 or 295 for any of the trip, you'll likely go right by it! It's actuall off of 64. Williamsburg is between va beach/newport news area and richmond.

Josie83 replied: No, I don't like them . . . scared of heights blush.gif but good for you! I bet you lads thought they had the coolest mum around! wub.gif xx

aspenblue1 replied: I love roller coasters. We have paramounts kings island about 10 minutes away from my house.

Jamison'smama replied:
I love Cedar Point---haven't been quite a while but I LOVE roller coasters--can't stand the long lines though--but some of those at Cedar Point are well worth the wait!!

kit_kats_mom replied: I've not been on a roller coaster since I hurt my neck while riding the Ninja at Six Flags Atlanta 7 times in a row. sad.gif

They are opening Sheikra soon at Tampa Bay bush Gardens. Maybe one day I'll get the urge to go again...or maybe not LOL

lisar replied: I love them. I live not to far from Disney world, adventure islands, busch gardens, and only 5 hours away from six flags. So I have rode them all. And love them.

redchief replied:
Just tell them to go find their mommies; you're allowed to feel young too!!!

I love coasters. I got thrown up on last year riding Nitro... A little kid a car up lost his breakfast all over the rear of the train... So we went down to a customer service area, showered and got on the next available one. Woohooo... LOL

amymom replied: My son is a coaster freak too. We are thinking of Great Adventure or Busch Gardens this summer.

I am glad you had such a good time. What a way to spend time with the kids!!!

JessC replied: I love them! wub.gif

I went on the California Aventures on... I dont remember what it was named... but man was that CREEPY! And plus its by the water... also I was on this ferris wheel that was over the water and my step dad and mom went with us and he was shaking the whole thing... blink.gif So now I am scared of ferris wheels rolleyes.gif sad.gif

coasterqueen replied: OMG! I LOVE LOVE roller coasters!!!! Dh doesn't so i never have anyone to go with and I'm too much of a chicken to go alone. tongue.gif

A&A'smommy replied: I LOVE rollercoasters but I haven't been on one since I was 16 wink.gif

dolfinrse replied: I absolutely love Roller coasters! We haven't been to Six Flags - NJ in a few years, (I only live about 1/2 hour from there), but can't wait to be able to go again. Obviously not this year though! dry.gif

Mommy2BAK replied: OMG I LOVE ROLLER COSTERS!!!!

But everytime I have gone to six flags or Silver Dollar City, it has been with people who hate roller costers so I either had to go ALONE or not go at all. rolleyes.gif

jdkjd replied: I LOVE Roller Coasters but have had no opportunites to go in awhile...maybe when the girls are older.

amynicole21 replied: DH and I could ride roller coasters every day... can't get enough. It's nice to be close to Disney, Sea World and Universal so that we have options, but I loved Six Flags in Jersey the best when I was small.

MomToJade&Jordan replied: I have yet to go on a roller coaster any bigger then the ones at Disney World, but i do love them. I have been to Six Flags in Jersey, but not since I was a little girl. I remember getting stuck on top of the ferris wheel. Busch Gardens in Tampa has some really great coasters like Cary said, but I haven't been there since Highschool. Of course there is no coaster riding for me at the moment, but I am going to have to hit some theme parks when I finally get to the Mainland.

Maddie&EthansMom replied: I love roller coasters. thumb.gif Scotty hates them though. sad.gif The last time I was on a roller coaster was the month before I got pg with Ethan at Six Flags over Texas. smile.gif What a great feeling. There is nothing like a roller coaster (and I'm afraid of heights, too) It is such an adrenaline rush to me!!
